A Right to Contraception Act was passed by the General Assembly of Virginia.  Youngkin amended the Right to Contraception Act to instead make it a “Section 1” bill, which essentially turns the bill into a study or suggestion and does not codify it into law.

Sen. Ghazala Hashmi and Del. Marcia Price, the sponsors of the legislation in the Senate and House said: “Governor Youngkin had an opportunity to break with extremists in his party and stand with Virginians by signing the Right to Contraception Act.  Instead, he chose to gut the legislation, deleting protections for people to use IUDs, condoms, birth control pills, and emergency contraceptives and erasing the mechanism for Virginians to ensure that our rights are enforced.  By introducing it as a ‘Section 1’ bill, Governor Youngkin’s substitute would effectively make it a suggestion rather than a law and leave our rights up to the whims of the people in power.”

Willy LOVES Youngkin.  When Hpygolky criticized Youngkin, willy called Hpy a "left wing lunatic."  He also said Youngkin is "a very popular governor" because he's not an activist: "We don’t like our politicians to make headlines.  We don’t like left wing activism and we don’t like right wing activism.

Gutting the Right to Contraception Act sure sounds like "right wing activism" to me.  Gee, I wonder what willy will do if he knocks up a hooker because neither of them could get birth control.  Maybe she'll garnish his meager gubmint salary for 18 years, lol.

Personally, I haven’t even heard about this. It’s telling that of all the issues this state faces from endless traffic, to hordes of illegals, to the lack of housing, the growing crime problems, gang activity, the one thing the Democrats in this state focus on is murder.

But whatever. The time has come to face the music. We’ve run a 50 year experiment on women telling them to poison themselves with birth control pills and it’s turned them into miserable unhappy people who are taking a skyrocketing amount of anti-depressants just to cope.

This despite that we now know that birth control pills drives depression sky high in women. Meanwhile, we have other effective means of birth control like condoms that doesn’t cause the same harm.

Birth control pills ought to be taken off the market. They’re dangerous, bad for women’s health, and could even lead to suicide. They need to go.

First off, suggesting a politician anally rape another forum member is over the top. Perhaps consider an edit?

has become the standard go to for ANYTHING a GOP politician does.

Anyone who read the article BigP linked would see that this is a much more nuanced action the Governor took that actually protects their constitutional rights.

Does using condoms make men depressed too?
