Been having ongoing discussions at the local airport with the 'airport bums',(old guys with nothing better to do than hang out there), who are from all walks of life, religions, (or not), liberal, conservative, etc. We've come to the conclusion that, as others here have said, Imam Rouf has every right to build on the site selected by his group. His admission that the mosque will be an example of the tolerance and good will he has toward non-believers, is taken to heart by us, and we think that tolerant attitude should be reciprocal. In that vein, we offer him the following recommendations to reflect tolerance on behalf of both viewpoints:
1. Two Gay nightclubs to be opened next door to the mosque. Club names suggested were, "The Turban Cowboy", and "You Mecca Me so Hot".
2. Adjacent to that, a butcher shop specializing in pork products, with an open BBQ, with spare ribs as a daily speciality. How about "Squeals on Wheels" for a name?
3.Across the street, a daring lingerie store called "Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret", with sexy mannequins in the windows, modeling their goods.
4. Next to the lingerie store, an adult/sex shop, "Koranal Knowledge", with it's name in flashing red lights.
5. Lastly, next to that, a liquor store, perhaps called, "Morehammered".
The likelyhood of the lifting of zoning restrictions, waivers, and variances for these projects to go forth is pretty much zero, but we had a fun time with the talks. Couple of the guys are megabucks Philadelphia lawyers, with particular interest in the lingerie/booze stores. Lol.
