The US Gov has released millions of gallons of crude oil to various wholesalers. Some of those private sector wholesalers (not the US gov) have shipped CRUDE OIL to Europe and Asia.  I found references to TAIWAN (aka Republic of China, RoC), not CHINA (People's Republic of China; PRC) receiving  a large shipment of crude oil that US refiners do not like to use. If he is "here", GaGambler could shed some light on this and correct any mistakes:

US refiners prefer HEAVY CRUDE; foreign refiners prefer LIGHT CRUDE (or the other way around?). The wholesalers sent the light crude to Taiwan and then they get more heavy crude for US refiners. Sending light crudes to those that want it (Taiwan, Italy, etc.) is supposed to decrease competition / demand for heavy crude and help to keep the prices lower for both ... except for price gouging and other private sector market manipulation.

On balance, the total amount of crude oil available globally went up by several millions of gallons (I think a total of 180 million gallons of crude was released) and US refiners and foreign refiners were able to get their preferred raw materials even if it meant that some of the US reserve crude oil left US shores.

I found ZERO links to stories about Hunter Biden's companies (his China deals collapsed YEARS ago) getting the US oil.
