wonhunglow is somewhat of a newcomer to posting on this board, so he likely doesn't know to take BB with a grain of salt peter.  However, both Sully's and my response were subdued, and I stated weeks earlier my boredom with Ott, who seems to think he is funny, so I don't see that one Kerry supporter qualifies all of us.  Glad you and BB find him funny, though... gotta keep the inmates entertained.

NY Times Blames False Explosives Story on Acid Reflux
by Scott Ott

(2004-10-26) -- An attorney for the The New York Times today blamed yesterday's false story--suggesting President George Bush lost 377 tons of Iraqi explosives--on "an attack of acid reflux."

The incident marks the second time in a week that a major performance was interrupted by the gastric disorder--the first being Ashlee Simpson's appearance on Saturday Night Live.

"Rather than criticize the Times for this embarassing episode," the unnamed attorney said, "Americans should express their sympathy because the venerable 'Gray Lady' suffers the ravages of acid reflux."

Meanwhile, the CBS News magazine '60 Minutes' plans to report Sunday night that the missing explosives may have been hidden underneath President Bush's suit jacket , creating the mysterious lump in the middle of his back during the first presidential debate.

"We would like to have all the facts before we report this," said a spokesman for CBS, "but then Matt Drudge will beat us to the punch. So, we're going for it. As Dan Rather once said, 'Courage means never having to say you're sorry'."

-----------
And this bastion of restraint and wisdom "Kerry" ran into a piss storm with this horse shit!  What is worse of course is that he knew it was a bullshit story, not unlike his baseless accusations of American Soldiers then and now!  Kerry has made a career of being Anti-American.

And considering how fast Dan Rather/CBS ran with it, can this puke self destruct any faster?  I think CBS news hasn't retained the credibility to report Baseball scores!

Anybody in there?

Here's a helpful link for you...

BTW - it's called "political satire".

Actually RLTW, it's called an attempt at political satire.  That Ott guy has yet to make me smirk, let alone smile let alone laugh.  I do admire his persistence in trying to palm off his stuff as humour.

Bill Maher is pretty weak and he's freakin' Groucho compared to Ott!

LOL. The visceral reaction that the Scrappleface satires evoke from the Kerry supporters here is a pretty good indicator of it's effectiveness.

Word??? Won's been posting here since May.

Do a message search and you'll see the flames that Bri gets when he posts anything from Scrappleface. And yes, I am entertained by Ott, along with some satirists on the left side also. South Park flames both "left" and "right" views and it flat out cracks me up. At least my ass is not puckered so tightly that I can't laugh at something that challenges my beliefs in a humorous way.

RLTW

Won posted about 18 posts in a five day span in June, and then has not posted since, so I wouldn't exactly call him a regular poster.  While he did have exchanges with your spiritual brother BB back then, that was four months ago, so he may have forgotten the subtlety with which BB sometimes works.

You do the search...I asked the question.

Is there a reason you are expressing your credentials for a "centrist" sense of humor?  I only said I am glad you find Ott funny...and that I don't.  I didn't mention anyone else, whether they challenge my beliefs or now.  Got something to prove?

Oh, and please don't try to use my "terms"...it is embarassing.

Yes, Won posted back in May and June and not any since then. If he's like alot of other TER members, he's probably lurked here between then and now. He's also an adult who seems quite able to defend himself. He's not a newcomer who needs help understanding people who post here.

If you want the answer to your question, search it.

I'm not expressing credentials or out to prove anything. Merely making an observation based on some of your other posts, which to me indicate that you get your pants wadded easily. As evident in the last sentence of your post.

Subtle but important difference.

The only wadding I do easily is with providers.

Keep throwing stuff...it isn't sticking.

'Missing Explosives' Story Has Kerry Campaign on the Defensive
By Susan Jones

October 27, 2004

(CNSNews.com) - NBC News reported Tuesday night that it's not clear who removed 380 tons of high explosives from Iraq's al-Qaqaa military installation (it could have been looters running through an unsecured facility; or it could have been Saddam Hussein's men before the war started).

Nor is it clear exactly when the HMX and RDX explosives disappeared, NBC said Tuesday night. (Weapons inspectors confirm that both the HMX and RDX were there in January 2003 -- but gone in May 2003.)

The New York Times and CBS News -- which broke the "October surprise" story on Monday, eight days before the election -- are standing by their reporting amid accusations that the story was deliberately timed to boost Sen. John F. Kerry's campaign in its final days.

And the Kerry campaign continues to use the story to blast the Bush administration's "stunning incompetence" in securing post-war Iraq.

But by Wednesday, the story that was intended to put the Bush campaign on the defensive in its final days also had the Kerry campaign and its liberal media allies on the defensive.

Obviously Won, political satire is "Way Over Your Head"!

who can quote facts, instead of "political satire".

Senario:  We all know that the CIA and the government has satellites taking pictures of Iraq on a daily basis, before and after our "conquering" of this pathetic opponent.  If the arms were stolen before the U.S. occupation, I would expect that the spy satellites would have seen hundreds of trucks or whatever taking the armaments from the "dump"(english translation of AlAquaa), a known armaments depot to the INC and the U.S. So yes, the U.S. would have seen, and claimed to have proof of, a systematic taking of the armaments before an American occupation.  Since they haven't claimed, or shown proof of, this systematic depletion of the armaments, we can take it for granted that this depletion occured during the time that the armaments were in U.S. control.  If I am wrong, why hasn't our military come up with the spy photos to make Bush's case.  As the soldiers who stayed the night have said, nobody(ie: military
leaders) told them this was an armaments depot, they didn't look for armaments among the 1000+ bunkers.

So, in conclusion, the armaments were taken before the troops arrived(where are the satellite photos) or the armaments were still there when the troops used the compound as an overnight campground, and didn't inspect it because their superiors didn't give them the info that they were camping out in an armaments depot.

There is a difference between blaming the leaders who know all and the soldiers who know what they are told.  You lying Bush lovers should quit trying to say the Democrats(Kerry) blame the troops instead of its leaders(?).
