The punk who said that should recieve a visit from the Secret Service...You cannot say crap like that, EVER...

If the congressman would have any guts, he would have blasted that a-hole...But he just was non-chalant about it..

What would your response be to anyone saying that, whether s/he be liberal, conservative, democrat or republican? Mine would be the same no matter!

Except for the countless number of times such inappropriate talk has been the norm from liberals about conservative presidents. Turnabout is fair.

matt, during the first term of GWB, Chris Rock was a guest on the Letterman show. During the segment, the talk turned to politics. Rock said, "Somebody should get a gun and shoot that bastard", meaning GWB. Not a peep was heard from anyone about that comment. Go figure.

The "punk" was reportedly an elderly man so perhaps "old fart" might be a better description. Add to his age the fact that there is still a lot of "closet" racism alive and well here in Georgia. When I moved here in the early 80's, there were some older gentleman that I worked with who were still pissed off about The Civil War! LOL!
I think the Congressman did just fine not even responding to the ridiculous question.

You must be a lawyer.  Or in the late stages of dementia.

It will give you a great window into people who are still fighting the Civil War.
