I watched Becks TV show once, and never again, winter before last. I still remember how boring it was, especially with all the lead in, fooling me to believe it would be interesting. I told a few friends who like his show, how disappointed I was. They said the Eric Massa interview was not a good example of a Beck show. I said he fooled me once, not giving him another chance.
He still has a radio show and, no doubt, will find a TV network willing to give him a try. His ratings had dropped but were still high. I think the problem for Fox was plunging ad revenues despite still-decent ratings. No major advertisers would touch him because of some of his looney statements. Some will complain that advertisers caved to left-wing pressure, but the right wing does the same thing all the time. Basically, no advertiser wants his product associated with anything controversial.
Sorry, but you guys are putting lipstick on a pig. I never said he was let go because the ratings dropped (they are still higher than the competition). What I did say was that the cause was too many advertisers bailing on him, which is true, and that's what the story says as well. And I also said he'd be picked up somewhere else, which I'm sure he will.
