What kind of question is that?

I don't trust the PsC's.* Not with the treasury, not with my wallet. If they are blocking this, it's because they have something up their sleeve. And as I said before, their timing for being fiscally responsible couldn't be worse.

How about those "Working Families" Obama is going to save?  Personally, the only families I know that don't work are retired and making sure they catch the early-bird special before falling asleep watching "Murder She Wrote" reruns.  I hate this class warfare BS.  Now we know that household annual incomes of $250,000 (or a "quarter million" as he put it) are going to get soaked.  Those people are so rich and need more money taken away from them.

BTW, $250,000 is a best-case-scenario on a campaign trail. My guess is if he wins it will drop down to somewhere under $200,000.  I always assumed I was getting out of bed every morning to go to "work".  I guess I wasn't.

That doesn't occur to you, does it? It's common sense. Besides, class warfare leaves the wealthy with nothing. No money, no property, and possibly dead. There's no comparison between that and leaving somebody with a mere six times median income. How Stalinist.

It's Repubs who started to take advantage of the middle class and poor in 1981, and who shout about class warfare whenever anyone points it out.

PsC's* have been at war with government for a whole generation. People are now realizing that getting wealthier by crippling the government is extremely unpatriotic. That's true no matter how they salute the flag.

Now, as to your statement about people making $250 thousand "getting soaked," you don't take into account how much disparity in income that top 5% contains. At the bottom of the top 5%, they are not going to be hit with an unmanageable amount of tax increases.

*PsC's-- pseudo-conservatives.

The fucking taxes that are already being collected? What happened to the cash? Go and find it.

Oh really. The thought of reducing expenditures never occurred to you? Thought not.

then it is to try to cut programs in an ordered fashion. At this point that would take too long. If we're running such high deficits and we have money to bail out the finance industry that doesn't deserve it, somethings wrong. We can afford the programs.

It's the Republicans that were watching out for your wallet, arguing that too much taxpayer money was at risk and that the financial industry was going to 'get off' too easily.

It's their game. Cripple government by spending it into horrible deficits, then use its incompetence to show that government can't work.

Meanwhile, filter as much as you can to cronies, privatize government functions so that you spend more. Also, put cronies and incompetents in charge of programs to dismantle them, or somebody who despises a department in charge of it. Undercut and sabotage every programs ESTABLISHED AS LAW OF THE LAND.

Conservative Repubs are saboteurs and traitors. They deserve class warfare for what they've done, and karma is letting them off easy if they get out of this with only their taxes being raised. IMHO, it would be justice for them to PAY THE ENTIRE NATIONAL DEBT accrued since Reagan.

Cut expenditures?? Cut their fucking throats!

Ahem. Pardon the rant. I just tend to do that lately. Ever since I read "The Wrecking Crew" by Tom Frank.

Around here a police det and a high school teacher's combined income is about that amount.

I could believe nearly $190 thousand, I can't believe $250.

How much will their taxes go up? They aren't going to be paying as much as people higher than that percentile. Not nearly that much.

Just like it's irrelevant to my taxes if I work. I don't even know why you think that could have anything to do with it.

And I betcha he doesn't drop it to $200 thousand. I bet he doesn't. You're just irritating yourself now, and getting hysterical.

I want to know why Obama thinks that those who make "a quarter million" are considered rich.  Has he ever tried to house, feed, cloth, educate and raise a family of four on a mere quarter of a million?  I don't know about you, but by time I get done paying my f'ing taxes, we don't have a lot of money left

I know on paper it sounds like a lot of money, but in today's economic times, it ain't shit!
