...Republicans are in charge of counting Florida, and they're still not done. Which is exactly how they wanted it. The only thing they didn't see happening is that Florida's electoral votes are completely inconsequential.

Every American has a phone or a internet connection. If they don't have those, they have public libraries.

We should be able to vote online or by phone. No waiting. No lines. No nothing.

Make the software open source. Make it secure. If we're able to pay our bills online, and transfer money from one bank account to another online and do it right down the penny, then we can make voting secure too.

I now suspect Romney's plan was to have the final election results hinge on Florida and the Republicans would squeak by with a tiny win with some ballot manipulation, just like in Nov 2000. They were so sure of taking Florida that Romney did not prepare a concession speech. Republican voter suppression efforts failed because pissed off minority groups came out to the polls in huge numbers.

that every state must follow with criminal penalties for shortening early voting and closing precincts that would have put Scott's ass in  Florida and Husted's ass in Ohio in jail.

Ballot language whatever the amendment or issue voted up or down needs to be crisp and clear.

Georgia was an example with its ridiculous language on two important amendments that misled people who hadn't read about the misleading language before hand.  And believe me most of them don't read worth a flying fuck, and the English spoken by most people in Georgia and in the Metro Atlanta area is worse than someone you get on the phone in the Phillipines when your paper doesn't show up or you have to get a new product key because the one in the Win 8 package didn't work.

Florida is not just sassy; it's a reprehensible bitch of a state when it comes to fucking up their polls and voting lines.  Whatever it takes, voting should not take more than an hour.  

There were voting fuckups in many states, running out of ballots, making an individual voter wait while a verbose string riddle piece of garbage of a ballot was printed out like in Florida.
