Mitt Romney’s shellacking of President Obama in last night’s debate overshadowed the full video of the racially inflammatory speech Obama delivered in 2007. In the speech, Obama said that the federal government refused to waive the Stafford Act, as it did after 9/11/01 and one of the east coast hurricanes, but didn’t offer the same concession for those harmed by Hurricane Katrina. He made it sound like the government, under President Bush, decided not to help New Orleans because of racism.

Not only was it a lie, but he didn’t mention that he voted against waiving the Stafford Act. Yeah, he never bothers with the truth.
See this for a list of those who voted for and against the bill. You’ll note that Obama’s “nay” vote was one of only 14 cast against the act, almost all of them liberal Democrats. No doubt he would say he knew the act would pass and so he felt okay voting against it in order to protest the Iraq war funds that were also part of the bill. But there’s something profoundly distasteful and almost grotesque about him voting against the waiver, knowing the bill had passed despite his vote, and then misleading the audience to make them angry that the waiver hadn’t happened. President Barack Obama’s campaign is being accused by a Chicago leader of the NAACP of threatening and intimidating him for not supporting the president’s re-election.

David Lowery, the president of the South Suburban Branch of the NAACP in Chicago, says Louis Raymond, the Illinois political director for Obama’s campaign, threatened him during a recent phone conversation, according to a local news report.

WBBM Newsradio’s Mike Krauser, who first broke the story, reports that the threats came after Lowery told the campaign that he doesn’t “personally support the president because he’s not addressing issues important to the black community.”

According to the report, Raymond, the campaign official, responded: “You know what? I know everything about you. We’ve been watching you, and since you don’t support Obama, we’ll deal with you.”

The Obama campaign claims Lowery misunderstood the phone conversation.
“Unfortunately there seems to have been a miscommunication regarding this conversation and we have since discussed with the campaign staffer in an effort to clarify the matter,” the campaign told the news outlet. “The President continues to support the mission and principles of the NAACP and the work they do.”

The waiver obama voted against is to waive the part of the act that requires the state to put in 10% of what the feds put in.

obama was bitching that NYC and Florida received the waiver (not having to put in  10%) and NOLA did have to put in 10%. when in fact the 10% was requirement was waived 10 days before his speech and obama voted against waiving the 10% for NOLA.

The Stafford Act requires, amongst other things, states and localities to contribute 10% of federal $$ for disaster relief ie, Hurricane Katrina, 9/11, Hurricane Andrew. With me so far?

What Malcolm Obama was vomiting about was claiming that for 9/11 and Andrew (where by implication, the victims were white), the 10% was waived. But for Katrina, (where by popular misconception, all the victims were black, the 10% was NOT waived. Ergo "WEZ YO DOLLA"?

Problem is, MalcolmX O'Fakefuck was one of only 14 senators who VOTED AGAINST WAVING THE 10%.
