It's because of Mitt's slipping poll #'s ( which many Repubs. discount, which is a sure sign of a losing campaign )
Romney DOES have a chance with such VP choices as Rubio & Portman, but other choices as listed above ( for reasons listed in the article ), wouldn't help Mitt & could possibly doom his candidacy.
A Fat fuck bully like Christie, IF he became VP, would add IMMEASURABLY to the deficit with his massive food budget.
Just saw on Cable that Mitt wants to pledge to halt the "personal attacks" & suggests BHO should do likewise-------ANOTHER sign of a losing campaign.
in which the Agnew part would be lost on the younger crowd, but not the older crowd. And, I think Romney doesn't want to appear anymore similar to Nixon than he already does!
