And I think China is waiting for Trump to take office, so it can invade Taiwan and take control of TSMC, the most advanced chip manufacturing facility in the world.
World War III and China knows it. If they were going to do it, last year was their opportunity because there would have been time to gain some benefits in a negotiated resolution while avoiding wholesale destruction.
First of all, China's military is -- at a minimum -- untested. They haven't fought a war since Viet Nam kicked their ass in 1979. And there's a good chance that their equipment -- much of it reverse-engineered Russian crap -- won't work as advertised. Also, the US has a defense agreement with Taiwan and other help might come from Japan.

Editha, Why would you think Xi would wait for Trump when Putin did the exact opposite? He waited until Biden was in office before invading Ukraine. CDL called it right, last year was Xi’s opportunity to attack Taiwan.
