I certainly hope so.The benefits outweigh the risks and I believe environmental safeguards will be put in place while work is being done on this.The gulf oil spill of a few yrs ago was understandable in holding off future offshore work immediately after the disaster took place but this is completely different.We still,regrettably,rely on oil as a primary energy source and until the day comes where wind,solar,hydro and nuclear take completely over,no way do we have the luxury of passing up something like this.The jobs created and revenue generated only adds to the necessity.

Don't know who he is but I'm just a realist.If there is an economic benefit to be had,we better take advantage of it.Who says we have to disregard environmental concerns?They can be worked in while constructing the pipeline.

Seems all the miracle energy companies he is investing in are not really giving him the alternatives he needs. Oil is one of the biggest factors that drive the economy, it price goes too high and supplies too low, whatever party is in power will lose the next election.

I may not like Obama, but he is not a stupid man and he knows this. I am convinced that is why Gitmo is still open. With the information he has access to that we do not, if it looks like not doing it will result in a pretty big shift in oil prices, he will do it. Obama has his beliefs, but his number one thing he takes care of is Barack Obama.

So he has latched onto an issue that only the looniest of lefties would side with him on to prove a point.

The pipeline should have been a no brainer, and instead POTUS no brain has cost this country billions of dollars and thousands of jobs, for what?

BTW full disclaimer here. I am in the oil business, The price of oil directly effects my income, By all rights i should support anything that keeps oil prices HIGH, this will have the exact opposite effect, but it's still what right for the country.
