show them facts, they run for the hills.
If you want to talk about Fox, start a new thread, in the meantime just admit you lost this argument....
Man you're weak at this debate stuff!!!
Good Article...
Kind of points out Obama's narcissistic character and his odd interpretation of a fair and balanced discussion.
that's as believable as Fox news being "fair & balanced"------------talk about a snowjob------![]()
There is NO news source that is fair and balanced..Exactly why I force myself to read Fox news and the Daily Kos everyday..
Fox claims balanced from the perspective they do have the "occasional" opposite view of their own...
But Fair..No Fox and the Daily Kos are not fair as they both have their own clear agendas...
Ever since I quit school in ninth grade I realized I have a lot to learn and there is no better way to learn than from looking at all sides of the subject, whether love or science.
I feel fortunate versus some of my friends with College educations who already think they know it all, so they quit studying years ago.....
I know some ridiculously ignorant, educated people, from both sides of the issues, that either read the Washington Times or the New York Times but too dumbed down to read both.
It's only biased reporting if it disagrees with your preconceived opinions. If it agrees with you, than it is "fair and balanced" lmao
All of the partisan idiots, (I know that is a redundant statement) believe that only one side is biased, how fucking stupid can you get???
Most of the denial comes from the left, but I also see righties trying to defend Fox News as the only unbiased news source, which of course is ridiculous. As you so accurately put it "there is NO news source" that is unbiased. If you truly want "all" the facts, you have to suffer through the garbage that "both" sides put out and find the truth somewhere in between.
Everyone has an agenda, and depending on their viewpoint, and how vociferous they are, they become convinced in their own minds that anyone that disagrees is wrong. I've yet to meet a legitimately open minded person. My ex-wife was such a hard core Catholic, that she said many times, unless you are a 100%, faithful, practicing Catholic, you're going straight to hell. We discussed other religious belief systems, and the people that were 100% true to them. Sorry, they aren't Catholic, too bad. Billy Graham...not getting into heaven according the Catholic beliefs. No middle ground there. Guess I'll need to take my air conditioner with me when I die. Lol.
Another gross example is during collective bargaining negotiations between the company and union. Each side puts out memos and letters stating a preposturous position, and there are some that believe in whatever side they are on. The truth is ALWAYS in the middle.
I would be willing to have all the congressional pay scales doubled, if only the shitheads would stay at home, do nothing, and leave us alone. Barring that, gridlock is my only hope.
but for one thing, knowing that. it's kind of hypocritical to hse that expression as your tag line, and for another, while ALL media is biased, some are WAY more biased than others, which is why "They all are" isn't a legitimate excuse.
I get most of my "real" news from BBC America and Jim Lehrer. Are they biased? To some extent, but by far not as much as almost all other new sources in this country.
Maybe this is part of the answer.

"The BBC is the only media organisation in Britain whose pension fund is a member of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change,"
I can't find the source but I recently read the pension investment percentage was 12% in green technology. That is a lot considering the small size of the green sector today.
I'm wondering why pensions such as these wouldn't be in blind trusts.
Why can't lefties admit that CNN et al are every bit as biased as Fox News?
Just because you lean left doesn't mean the news reporting agencies should. It is disengenuous to claim that Fox is more biased than CNN, as a person who "claims" to be objective, I expect better from you.
You guys are making this too easy. lol
From your perspective on the far left, of course FOX seems the most biased to you. From someone on the right or in the middle the view is quite different.
Step back and take a good look.
All the anchors and all the FOX reporters, mix in conservative commentary with every story.
They don't even pretend to be unbiased.
I do not see that from the other networks.
You don't see it because you "agree" with their commentary.
They are all fucking story creators and story tellers. What screwed up the news? One word - the so called expert opinion. The experts are only experts in getting paid by news organizations and they will sell their soul to be on TV and to get paid huge sums.
How the fuck can you have a paid expert giving you impartial opinion? What is in it for news organization? You really think, the news organization is willing to take ups and downs in their ratings and revenue?
Eddies theory holds. PBS is publicly and funded, no need to worry about ratings and advertisement.
BBC is government funded and their world news service is superior than anything around. You should listen to it sometimes, Sirrius Channel 141. Try it!
PBS is a different story, with the exception of Jim Lehrer's news hour, PBS has a huge left wing bias.
My gripe with Eddie and the rest of the libs is that they insist that only Fox is biased, and gloss right over the left wing biases off CNN, CBS, etal
Only a moron would claim that Fox is unbiased, but to claim that the rest of the networks are any better is simply untrue.
which pains my "liberal sensibilities"-----LMFAO !
The most even handed news in the US is NPR.
I also check media outside the US. The CBC does a great job of reporting on the US from a different prospective than the US media.
You've got Olbermann and Matthews working the desk talking to Maddow & Schultz over the remote.
Talk about a liberal circle jerk.
At least Fox has liberals on its network (Juan Williams, Bob Beckell, Alan Colmes).
Although I disagess with Bob Beckell a lot on politics he nailed it when asked why a liberal such as himself would appear on Fox. He said...
"I remember being on MSNBC and making an off color comment about the Pope. I thought, boy am I going to get the hate mail about that. And you know what, I never heard a word about it. That's when it dawned on me its because no one watches that network. I want to be on a network where my opinions are actually heard."
show them facts, they run for the hills.
