Two sides to every story.....

Several threads below, there was much commenting about newly elected Maine governor, Paul LePage, and how he is a racist for refusing to participate in the NAACP MLK Day events. That's one side in the lame stream media.

The other side, as sent to me by a good friend in Maine, tells an entirely different tale. It seems that the NAACP specifically asked Gov LePage to spend MLK Day visiting the black inmates in Maine State Prison, and speak to them publically. The Governor replied that he would visit ALL prisoners on that day, not merely the black ones, as Dr King's philosophy envisioned all races coming together. The NAACP balked at that idea, and sent out a press release claiming, falsely, that he refused to participate in any MLK Day events.

The next morning, after reading about the NAACP  release in the local newspaper, he went ballistic because none of the reporters had called him for comment before running the NAACP release. That's when he said on camera, "If they want to play the race card on me, they can kiss my butt".

Oh yeah, the MSM and NAACP both failed to mention that the Gov has an adopted black son from Jamaica. So which one is accurate? I'm inclined to go with my friend's version.

Well him adopting a black son doesn't give him points lol (that's as unimportant as mentioning if he has black friends, or had a black nanny as a child and/or has black in-laws SO WHAT lol) but the other side to the story..... very interesting and if that side is more accurate then hell yeah they can kiss it. That's not cool at all don't throw the race card IMO unless it's actually relevant and again if this other side to it all is more accurate or rather the truth even then the race card has no place here.

But of course, Roman Catholics are known to skip that. But I'm reminded of Matthew 25:31-25:40

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit upon his glorious throne, and all the nations will be assembled before him. And he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the king will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.' Then the righteous will answer him and say, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?' And the king will say to them in reply, 'Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.'

Perhaps his problem is that the NAACP had to pressure him to visit a prison at all. And the NAACP should have accepted his offer to visit everyone in the prison, assuming the Governor's account is accurate.

In Romans 1:26-27 Paul is very specific, “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.”

the Bible is not something you can cherry pick from....

So, I can cherry pick from it all I like. However, for a Roman Catholic like the good Governor of Maine, he can't cherry pick from it, unless he wishes to be a hypocrite.
