Trump as President.  How can you call him a "staunch conservative".  If anyone thinks he is, then they are buying a load of bull.  Kristol is against any Republican who can beat Biden, and that includes both DeSantis and Trump.

you vote for the conservative in the primary, but if your man is not the eventual nominee, you still support the Republican nominee.  Otherwise, you are handing you vote to the Dem nominee by not voting.  This is what Bill Kristol did.  Most Republicans say that ANY nominee would be better than Biden, but if they carve out an exception for Trump, and he wins the nomination, they are just RINOs.  If Robert Kennedy was to take the nomination from Biden, and you did not support him, then you would be handing your vote to the Republican nominee.  It's the same thing Kristol did.
