I have to say that I haven't paid much attention, but as long as your on the topic I will point out that your two examples of the First Lady and Sec. of State are both at very religious locations.

What was so religious about Pelosi meeting with a dictator? I'm sure I've seen pictures of Rice at middle east political meetings where she was wearing fully "western" clothes. I've aslo seen Pelosi photo-ops without the head-garb. Where was she when she was wearing it?

She is doing what the Iraq study group said to do and Bush refuses to do.

She is the third most powerful person in power in the United States Government, why shouldn't she go? Just because Bush says not to? Pelosi does not report to Bush. She reports to the American people who clearly want a new direction in the Iraq war AND the war on terror. She is doing what the  American people want ...unlike Bush & Cheney.

I applaud her.

Pelosi hurt ALL AMERICANS when she improperly interjected herself into US Syrian relations because now Assad, the head of a terrorist state can play one against the other.

The Iraq Study Group said we need to have better diplomatic  discussions with Syria & Iran. Bush refusses to do so because he is a dumbfuck asshole.

Again, I applaud Pelosi for doing so. It is what we need and it is what the American People voted for. And, yes, I believe there was a huge mandate given in the last election to change course.
