Most notably, the Oregon occupiers set up barricades against the local police, while the Capitol police were allowed full access to every place the rioters went. WRONG..... BLM/ANTIFA rioters were trying to take over Portland. They were trying to take over a city or "forming" a new city. They were trying to take over and storm many federal buildings thru out the country. It was organized. They planned nightly attacks on federal/city buildings across the nation... over and over again. Had road blocks (in Portland) and allowed only certain people in and out. It amazes me how facts escape people on this.
J6th is a HUGE BLACK EYE on the country. But when people are stating it was an "insurrection" and "over throw of government. WRONG..... it was a riot that got out of control. It started away from the capital, wasn't planned, was a hand full of bad actors. Many others got charged with TRESPASSING and that is it. Not organized.... etc. It lasted a few hours not days upon days.
To put it very lightly..... J6th was like a bunch of people at a kegger and then few people saying "lets streak the quad" and a bunch of the party goers start towards the quad... with a hand full that get naked and the rest sit around and watch the streaking. That is how j6th unfolded. At a Trump rally, Trump says go protest peacefully at the capital, on the way to the capital others started to come up with their own ideas.... at the capital started peaceful, then turned into a riot. Yeah.... that is basically how it unfolded that day....and ENDED that day. Nothing like the planned summer of love riots, take overs of federal buildings, planned protests, etc.
People who can't see it for what it actually was.... BOTH the Antifa/BLM protests/riots/takeovers and J6th.... are blind to facts. Nobody was charged under the insurrection act (see below). The major ones who got charged with sedation conspiracy stuff..... like mentioned above... the "lets go streak the quad guys".

In the case of Portland, the local government conceded that the occupiers had seized an area of the city and residents were prevented from returning to their own homes. Police made no effort to retake the seized land.
