Trump's persistent sniffles explained

Guess some of you have taken Viagra, Cialis, Levetra, or Stendra. Nasal stuffiness is not an uncommon side effect of these drugs known as PDE5-inhibitors. By inhibiting PDE5, they enhance the activity of nitric oxide (not to be confused with nitrous oxide), which improves erections by dilating blood vessels.

The same nitric oxide is also present in nasal mucosa (moist area inside nose). Hence, PDE5-inhibitors can cause nasal congestion by enlarging small blood vessels inside the nose.

Thus, one possible explanation for Trump's persistent sniffles during debate is that he might have taken Viagra or a similar drug to feel like a man and to come across as macho, but ended up looking and sounding the opposite due to the side effect.

These drugs can also cause, in some users, difficulty with distinguishing colours. This might explain his persistent squinting during the debate.

Viagra and Sildenafil were serendipitous developments while drug companies were developing blood flow enhancers for the legs. Donny is getting old, and senior citizens sometimes suffer from poor circulation, particularly to the legs. Standing for a long time in one place can be painful and numbing to the legs. So he could have dropped a few of those to beef up his standing (pun intended). Poor Donny.

Also, he could have taken DDAVP, which is an antidiuretic. He might have felt he wanted to be sure he wouldn't have to take a piss in the middle of all his hate-filled interruptions in the rigged debate where they wouldn't even give him a mic that worked. Poor Donny. But snorting a dose of DDAVP would also account for his need AND hus ability to deal with dry mouth by swigging at the ice water every five minutes. Poor Donny.

One thing is clear. The sniffles were not due to an upper respiratory infection as he didn't have these  a few hours later. Whatever he took was a short-acting stuff.
