Everyday, Trump walks down the driveway of the WH to where the press corps is waiting.  He then says something to bait the fake news press into slamming him for another 24 hours, and they take the bait.  

 
The brilliance is in focusing the fake news media attention on himself.  This means they are not out there bashing Barr and Durham, who can go about their deep state investigation without distraction.  They are not blaming the Senate for a lack of legislation.   At the same time, the Dems running for POTUS are being completely ignored by their own "friendly" press, because the fake news morons cannot resist ANY chance to bash Trump.  I bet the average Dem cannot name six of the people still running in the Dem party for the POTUS nomination.  That's good news for Trump.

 
All of this plays nicely into Trump's re-election bid for next year.  He got a huge bump in the polls when the Mueller investigation turned up nothing, and when the Dems fail to have enough votes for impeachment, it will seal their doom and, not only will Trump win re-election, the Dems will lose the House in 2020 because they were more concerned about their own power than helping Americans improve their lives.  

But they are too stupid and blinded by TDS to see when they are being played by the media master.  He knows he's not going to get any positive press from them, so instead, he CONTROLS the narrative  of their bashing him by GIVING them the topic of the day.  Its brilliant.
