conspiracy theorists strained at minor bits of possible evidence suggesting a conspiracy, that the event never truly occurred, while all along, never choosing to look at the overwhelming evidence that it indeed did. The old 'straining at gnats while swallowing the camel' syndrome. Or, perhaps just plain paranoia.

Nut jobs come in all shapes and sizes, engaging in debate with them is pointless. It makes them feel like you care what they think and you can never satisfy them with enough facts. Not to mention they will always outlast you, and when you finally tire of their foolishness, they will claim that as victory

Whether it's the "gumint" flying planes into buildings on 9/11, Obama's birth certificate nonsense, JFK assassination, what have you...the conspiracy theorist mind is looking around every corner for plots and massively covered up evil doings and yes, it is paranoia based.

This sandy hook thing is just the latest. These whack a doodles can't even let this people grieve in peace. It always has to be about them, not the victims.

Conspiracy nuts are like hypnotized zombies. Facts, common sense and the laws of science be damned. Ever try talking to these people? You'd have more fun slamming your head into the cement.

Some here like to indulge in this crap. If that's what they need to make it through their pitiful lives, so be it.

I think a little skepticism is a good thing.

They have questioned BHO's birth certificate, place of birth, college records, religion and sex of his wife. Why is questioning his policies or motives over the top?

From  conspiracy theorists harassing grieving parents of children who died at Sandy Hook, to questioning Obama's "policies or motives (being) over the top?" They're not even close! If you have ever worked on a lathe, you know that it's imperative to tighten, very well, everything before you turn it on, or things soon fly apart. I'm thinking it's time for you to tighten your thinking. A little skepticism does not equal paranoia. A little skepticism typical doe not lead treating grieving parents unkindly.
