we've been talking about this storm for 2 weeks in my circles, and how we believed it would be epic, IF both the low pressure, and high pressure front were to cross paths..

THIS is going to happen today..These 2 pressure fronts will meet today, and this will not be a storm like ANY storm we've ever seen in our life time..

I know the media is VERY VERY guilty of over hyping many things, but this time they ARE NOT over hyping..Make sure you have food and water on hand for 7 days just incase you lose power..


YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET CAUGHT WITHOUT PREPS FOR THIS ONE!

The best that we can hope at this point is it wont be a direct hit..if it is a direct hit, the best we can hope is that people were evacuated, and, or, prepared..

Stay safe, THIS is the big one! A hurricane is merging with a nore'easter, and this will be ONE HUGE storm, possibly 50 ft waves, huge storm surge, MASSIVE beach erosion and extensive damage to private property,  snow, ice, sleet, frozen rain while we still have leaves on trees.. Which will take down MANY trees, and knock a lot of people power out for days, even weeks..


This storm is historic because this is the first time this has ever happened in recorded history..Low fronts and high fronts of this magnitude have never transitioned. This particular low front is also the lowest ever recorded in the atlantic.

but, because we're talking winter storm here, many speculate this will be worse than katrina..Hurricane Katrina was not a transitioning storm, just a hurricane.. We are talking MASSIVE atmospheric disruptions when cool air and warm air meet..and today we're having a hurricane which is warm air, merge with a nore'easter, which is cold air.. Even if this storm makes land fall at cat 1 or 2, it's the atmospheric disturbances from the 2 systems merging that are going to make this one so bad

We just gotta hope no levees breach too, or this storm will make katrina look like a cake walk..

these 2 systems are so powerful, that they may not be able to support tornado conditions..

When we have tornadoes, the air around the tornado is so calm, it's spooky.. Almost like being caught in a vacuum because all the air is being sucked above to fuel the conditions right for tornadoes..We may see something equally as dangerous tornado wind strength winds shooting straight down from the sky to the ground, these are called straight line winds..But they'll take down a house just like a tornado..

BUT, we don't know, we may even see things we've never seen before.. This storm will be historic because these 2 fronts are merging, this will be the first time since we began keeping records of things that this has happened.. The only things we're sure about is that it's gonna be bad..

We may see them on the outskirts of the storm down south, that's where the conditions will be right to support them.



The particular low front is also the lowest pressure ever recorded in the Atlantic
