In 2004 Bev Harris of Black Box Voting showed Howard Dean how easy it is to switch the results of an election in under a minute.

Now a NSA analyist has looked into the primary election results for the Republican party and the election results in the state of Arizona. And for some reason, in the precincts that had the most voters, votes for Santorum and Ron Paul were statistically lower than they were across the smaller districts. These votes increased for Romney.

So how do you know that your vote is accurately counted the way you voted? If we're going to vote electronically, then why can't you vote on the internet or by phone from the comfort of your own home, and then be able to log in to verify who you voted for?

total shit.  The Diebold machines are analagous to the stupidity of the US in protecting NY and New Jersey, and the failure to recognize climate change and the fuckboard righties here would facilitate several more Hurricaine Sandy's.  The Diebold machines are the Hurricaine Sandys of Election 2012.

As a result of the JFK/LBJ tax cuts, unemployment fell from 5.2 percent in
1964 to 3.8 percent in 1966.

And taxes paid by individuals (govt revenue) rose from about $45 billion in 1964 to $60 billion in 1967.

The JFK/LBJ tax cuts reduced the top marginal tax rate from 91% to 70%. That's a far cry from reducing the top marginal rate from 35% to 28%.

Do you know what EFFECTIVE tax rates are? If your tax bracket puts you at a 25% income tax rate, and then you get to deduct half of that 25%, then you're paying a far lower rate than 25%.

By the time JFK lowered the top marginal rate, so many tax loopholes had been built into the system, that the wealthy were paying an effective tax rate around 61-63%. The tax cuts closed so many loopholes, that even after lowering the top marginal rate, the effective top marginal tax rate actually increased to 67%.

Now, what the hell does that have to do with my OP?
