Has galvanized Israel and not the US (other than the lefties insanity supporting actual terrorists) into action. This was worse than 9/11 by a good bit. The attacks of the twin towers and the pentagon while horrifying wasn’t having armed gunman running around in civilian neighborhoods raping and murdering civilians.
That is a warped and sick sentiment. I support Israel in this war while having many major issues with Bibi on other matters. And please remember it was President Obama that took out bin Laden and not George Bush. That said, I will agree 10/7 was worse than 9/11 in terms of per capita carnage.
I vaguely remember that a protest at the White House happening during Trumps time in office and the LEFTIES ON THIS BOARD screamed that trump was a pussy for going into the bunker and it was mostly peaceful and nothing much happened. 🙄

Here’s the deal Hamas should not be called a terrorist organization. They should be called a crime syndicate. What they do is, keep the Palestinian people living in abject poverty in Gaza in order to keep a fresh supply of totally pissed off young men who are willing to go commit atrocities for a little bit of money or a chance at 72 virgins. Yes they believe that! Thay believe it more than you believe the sky is blue.
The leader ship of Hamas does not live in Gaza. They live in southern Lebanon on palatial estates, Next door to their Hezbollah buddies.
They have funded this lavish life style by stealing the billions of dollars that come in as aid money every year to support the Palestinian people. Said money (roughly 10 billion a year) comes from around the world but mostly, gulf oil states, Qatar being a big donor.
Now that being said, the Palestinians still engage as a people in some of the more objectionable pursuits in Islam. For instance, they routinely commit honor killings of their own daughters. This is so widespread that quite literally the Israeli’s have a governmental agency that deals with botched honor killings. when the IDF finds, a girl, usually 10 to 12 years old, beaten, nearly to death and dumped in a ditch, they rescue them provide medical care, educate them, give them a completely new identity and get them adopted usually into Europe. The fact that this is so bad that it requires an actual governmental agency within the Israeli government to exist to deal with this problem tells you what you need to know about Palestinians writ large.

I think the democrats are split along a few lines. There's the social justice types who see Palestinians as underdogs. There's the political hacks who count Muslim votes vs Jewish votes. And there is the anti-west types who side with the west's enemies. The White House is trying to split the baby between this coalition of three and the financial heft and influence of the Jewish democrats. However the election is a year away, so I don't expect this rift to be a serious issue for the democrats next year -- the Gaza war should be well over by then.

I expect Israel to NOT occupy most of Gaza after the war. I think they might occupy a buffer zone between Egypt and Gaza to prevent the movement of arms back into Gaza after they clear it out. I think long term occupation will just invite attacks on IDF troops inside Gaza, so their soldiers getting killed periodically. I think they'll avoid that and leave Gaza mostly to it's own devices.
