When the tape was released, my mind didn't go back to the long litany of his reported boorish behavior toward women, but something I had read, I believe it had to do with the Marla Maples accusation about Trump raping her, where her lawyer claimed, something of the sort, that a woman could not be raped by her husband. Given his lawyer said it, I had no reason why Trump didn't believe it.
As far as which route Trump will take, I would guess guess the later. Trump reminds me of a wolverine. I'm from Michigan, so, though there haven't been wolverines in Michigan for many years, other than those in the maze and blue, they have a great mystique about them. Not only is a wolverine very ferocious, but has a most despicable characteristic. It has anal scent glads, and once it is done feeding off a carcass, it sprays it to prevent any other animals from feasting. It might just be part of the lore around it, but it's reported that it's the only animal that does so. So, it has the reputation of being the orneriest animal around. while leaving nothing good in it's wake.

It was his first wife Ivanka claiming rape for a divorce preceding she took back. A lot of men here went through bitter divorces and women lying and accusing men of abusing them to win divorce settlements is nothing knew. No there was no sarcasm. I know enough women to know many of theirs fantasies. A strong man who admits to be rejected displays vulnerability which often evokes motherly instincts. I think many women would hate Trump but it wouldn't be for that video. And those who are still undecided (I can't imagine how you can still be) will not be turned off by it.

His campaign has been nothing but insults, lying and put downs starting from the GOP primary to now this general election. His outlandish remarks to grab the attention of his idiots followers then to say later, "I was joking" doesn't cut it. He owns this and I hope it sinks him. But as sorry as he is, he has followers like you that are just as pathetic, they/you will support him NO MATTER WHAT. And he'll still poll around 40 so that say alot about us.

The reactions from GOP staffers and advisers to Trump ranged from astonished to apoplectic. A close adviser to Trump told CNN the story is "flat out appalling" and at this point, they can't even begin to guess whether Trump can come back from this.
"This should have never happened. I wish it had never happened. I think I know that men talk this way sometimes, but it's nothing I would ever want to hear or condone or approve of," the adviser said. "My reaction is -- it's appalling. It's just flat out appalling."
The adviser also said Trump's apology does not go far enough. "Doing anything other than to say it was a grievous error and he apologizes would be a mistake," the adviser said. "I would take it a step further and own to the words as being offensive -- not 'if.'"
The adviser, clearly exasperated, added: "Another day in Trump world ... I hate it."
Asked about the reaction at a campaign field office, a Trump field staffer told CNN there were "gasps. Collective gasps. We're trying to get our heads around it right now, but there's no way to spin this. There just isn't.
He had to resign from the Senate for much less.
Looks like there is a lower standard for the President.
Maybe the religious right fanatics will continue to look the other way and support their candidate until he is convicted and entered in the Federal registry for sexual offenders.
