You present GOPers are falling for a North American Peron!

Deal!

Duh, isn't this the same as Kerry losing the far left wing to Nader, except that no alternative republican has emerged to get the votes.

The article contains a couple of the complaints that Moderates that post to this board have hammered away at.
1. We are creating more terrorism by creating more terrorist, not less.
2. Going into Iraq at the time that we did and the way that we did it was a mistake.

Unfortunately, I did not see it state that we should focused the enormous resources that we have spent on Iraq stabalizing Afganistans and spreading democracy and freedom from terrorists and warlords to evey single inch of that country.
I agree with the assessment that Kerry will step into a pile if elected.  It will be difficult for him to undue the damage that has been done.  I think that if elected, Mr.Kerry will fail, the storm cloud that are gathering are too large for an administration of his to resolve in one term - the person that follow him should have better luck, especially if Mr.Kerry has the guts to make some of the difficult choices that he will have to make and will pay for by not being re-elected.

Thank you!  As of 5 minutes ago, i was still an undecided voter but leaning Bush.  You crystallized my Kerry concern: He does NOT have the guts to make some of the difficult choices that he will have to make.  His entire campaign and voting record would suggest he almost exclusively sets policy on what public opinion would say.

OK, well, maybe i'm still undecided, but shit, I had an epiphany, which is nice.

Regardless of the fact that he chose to go fight in Vietnam when Mr.Bush chose to stay home (and let me make this perfectly clear, both men with their political connections HAD choices, unlike me and my sibblings - but that is a reality of life that I accept now and accepted then).
I have concerns about how much leeway Mr.Kerry will have if elected.  There is a big pile of shit waiting for him, both at home and outside the US.  Many of Mr.Kerry's supporters want him to pull US troops out of Iraq.  While I feel that we should have not gone there when we did, I also feel that there is no way that we can walk away at this point or any time soon.  But I also have concerns about Mr.Bush potentially making that pile much larger if re-elected.  He has shown me that his administration is capable of taking great opportunities and turning them into gross policies that result in all the rest of the world arraying against us, even when many not only like us but like our culture and what we have done for the world in the past and what we are capable of doing during the future if we execute well thoughtout policies.
Neither man is everything that one would want him to be, and each has his good side.  In the end, I think that people will be driven more by their politics in choosing one over the other than by any deep analysis of their relative appropriateness for the job of president.

when a Leftie tells Conservatives what we should think.  It's almost as impressive as Demoncrats telling us how to win elections.
