So now we're paying out the ass for a cure that is incredibly worse than the disease. We aren't out, and we know its a mess.
My guess is that we pull out, and the Iranians start incursions to protect Shiites and fight Kurds. The Saudis Syrains Turks and Israelis will all sit with their fingers on their triggers until some asshole slips and the whole place goes up in smoke.

it all depends on your objective. The normal objective is to destroy the opposing armed forces, and that is why you firebomb, nuke, etc.

Typically, pilots think that if they just bomb something enough, people will see the error of their ways. Infantrymen live in the target area, and know that's not so; if you bomb enough to kill them all, you make a fucking desert on one end, and a bankrupt s-4 on the other; and it's cheaper

If Republicans are so stupid, why is it they have all the money (and houses, and cars, etc) 
they don't. They have more money in fewer hands, because that's what's important to them. Since they have no social skills, they need to rely on something tangible to get around. So they're often more focused on property rights, because that's where they find security.
