Or would you say they vary just like the rest of the population...I ask because on one hand the acceptance of this hobby requires one to be fairly liberal from a social perspective...but on the other hand it is a fairly expensive hobby and I'd imagine requires an above average income (who of course tend to lean to the right)

I'm reminded of an old West Wing episode where Josh Lyman (one of the President's aides...deputy chief of staff, to be exact) is having an argument with a gay Republican congressman over his support for the party...and the congressman's belief in small government and more power to the states (of course one of the core republican beliefs) was more important to him than his party's acceptance of his private lifestyle

...so yeah. Democrat? Republican? Communist?
