in a so called civilized society is symptoms of deep rooted social ills. The real question to ask, why wasn’t she able to go to a cafeteria and eat without getting shot it. Somehow, people like you happen to think that every one carrying pistols and semi-automatic rifles is going to protect you.

I can tell you by certainty, carrying gun would not have stopped the maniac who shot the kids. No chance. At the rate we are progressing as a society, we would need 1 in 4 to be law enforcement carrying assault rifles to protect our children and peaceful citizens who doesn’t want to carry assault weapons to go to a movies, a religious place to pray, to go to McDonalds or to a shopping mall.

So the argument of carrying guns for self defense is stupid. Understand, the you are gun enthusiast, you have the right to own guns and you should, you hunt, go for it. Being all that said, the rest of us have right to live in this society without the fear of being shot at, we have right to expect our children to be safe, we have right to expect our daughters not get raped at gun point, etc.

The fundamental question is not one suppression but one of control, i.e., who owns the gun, do they have the mental capacity to understand the responsibilities of owning a gun. All gun owners should including the NRA should be supporting it instead of twisting it to mislead the people. US is not the only place on earth where people hunt and as matter fact, big game hunting is done else where.

I grew up hunting and decided to give it up when I grew up and realized there is no point in killing animals. I do enjoy skeet shooting, I believe it takes some skills, I like target shooting also, but I don’t carry a gun for self protection because I have better faith in fellow human beings.

Suppose you live in NC, where every building happen to have sign stating “No Fire Arms Allowed” and by law you are not allowed to bring in Fire Arms to even to the Parking Lot of any Private or Public Place. Go look.

and Conn has some of the strictness in America. His mother owned them legally and he was under 21. It is very sad that he was able to get a hold of them.

What needs to be done is that a ban on all automatic large magazine rifles needs to be passed and enforced tightly and gun show loopholes avoiding checks closed.  And it's not been determined yet that all 3 guns came from Mommy Dearest purchased legally.  He was trying to purchaswe more of his own illegally as well.

Timbow call Nancy Lanza or go visit her and tell us what she says about how her multiple assault rifle and automatic gun owning weekend went.  Ask her what she's doing right now and report back.

destroying the civil society
That is what liberal policies have been doing for years. No sense of self-reliability. No sense of responsibility. And liberal policies only reward people like this...

Liberals have no SENSE of what a civil society is REALLY about...
