There was a good analysis of the job figures earlier in the board..

I think we are still losing jobs and the #s are being played with.   My personal area (high tech) is looking up.

Let's consider how anemic job creation has been...

We have hundreds of thousands of people removed from the domestic employment economy for deployment in Iraq...

We have record federal deficits, far in excess of any Keynesian recommendation for job creation...

We have had 1 percent Federal Reserve interest rates with record-low interest rates across the board...

We are "at war" and supporting a war economy...

And still this job market is fairly dead.

BTW, none of this is GW's fault, but his statement about the benefits of outsourcing tells me he doesn't see the problem.

I have looked at the job figures earlier in the board, but haven't finished interpretting them.  They were some good postings.

I, myself, will have to improve my income greatly, damn the economy, if I'm going to support this hobby the way I want to.

Well if my departments open reqs are any indication, it's just a matter of time.  We have enough reqs open to DOUBLE the size of our department.  The real problem is finding qualified people.  (BTW it's an IT company)
