of the country. There is too much at stake to allow the U.S. to collapse completely. Our “freedom and civil liberties” are second to the investment the world has in the U.S. We are headed towards chaos; the only question is when, not if, our great experiment in democracy will end. Actually, it would be a natural progression as far as governments go.
Well, Repubs, you're really going to be paying the most for electing Bush in 2004 after seeing his job performance for 4 years. Democrats are now likely to win the Presidency, and are definitely going to win seats in the House and Senate. The Repubs are probably going to have 41 seats or less in the Senate, making it practically filibuster-proof.
So, the Democratic Party will entirely run the Federal government, with Obama making two, possibly three Supreme Court nominations.
And, worse of all to you, Democrats will now be left IN CONTROL OF THE NATION'S FINANCE SYSTEM. Just think of what this means. Never has a single party had this much power. But Repubs certainly didn't mind it when they had all three branches of government. They wouldn't consult the Democrats on anything. Believe me, Democrats haven't forgotten that.
You Repubs will be left in disarray and divided possibly for years to come. You should have voted for Kerry. With both Houses in hand, you could have contained him and made him look foolish for four years. As it is, you voted for the worse President ever, and lost just about everything since.
But really, you should have nominated a better candidate than Bush in 2000. I wouldn't have so much minded McCain then either.

Btw:
"Our “freedom and civil liberties” are second to the investment the world has in the U.S."
I highly disagree. The world LOOKS up to us for our freedoms and our civil libertaies. I'll let Ben Franklin speak:
"They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security."
I agree 100%
fuck man, we shoulda colonized mars whenst we hadna chanst to
Assuming, arguendo, that your prediction of the trifecta win comes through, don't gloat too soon. Getting power is almost as hard as holding it.
There are a lot of things that can happen before 2012. Here are a few things:
1. We pull out of Iraq early and it decends into a genocidal mess, ending up in the hands of Iran, which then controls so much oil, they use it as a topping on ice cream sundaes.
What will be remembered about Iraq was that we had almost won, thanks to a strategy suggested first by Mc-you-know-who, and somehow someone else managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. The Dems were hurt for 40 years because of Vietnam. Losing Iraq won't help them keep their new found security credentials.
(Related scenario: the above happens and Obama sends troops back in to stabize, which he has said he would do, during which 4,000 more are killed. Everyone will say, "Why did we pull out early, only to go back in at the cost of 4,000. If we had just stayed, the deaths were down to less than Chicago in the summer. Maybe McCain was right that as long as Americans weren't getting killed it didn't matter how long were were there for.")
2. Obama imposes all his taxes, plus the additional taxes that the House Dems are already talking about. Small business do, in fact, take a hit. Combined with increased tax on capital gains and dividends, investment money stagnates, leaving the country with 12% unemployment and depressed markets in all areas that rely on luxury spending - restauarants, dance classes, personal trainers, interior decorators, espresso cafes, live theater, tourism, etc.
(Of course, if Obama is right that increased taxes won't hurt, he will look good. But, as I say, we shall see.)
3. Obama moves into Afghanistan big time, but they continue resistance. During this time the peace-oriented base of the Dem party starts a Peace Now movement, demanding we get out of Afghanistan. Obama, who made his strong-on-security creditials urging increasing troops in Afghanistan, now faces the base of his party complaining that we are in a quagmire. (Remember that word.) He pulls out before getting bin Laden, like he promised he would, and bin Laden takes over that country again. (Ooops. Two countries down.)
4. Putin decides that ethnic Russians living in the Baltic states are being mistreated, and he sends in Russian tanks, re-taking the Baltic states. Obama does not want to go to war with Russia, rather understandably, so he does nothing that reverses that action.
Want some more scenarios? I could give you a bunch more off the top of my head. Any of these will make the Dems looks worse that the GOP looks now.
If your boy is good, there is nothing to worry about. However, even the brightest cannot predict the future. When trying social experiments, there are always unpredicable results.
In fact, if he becomre president, I hope none of these happen. I would rather have a successful Obama than a hurt U.S.
I will wish him luck, but please don't gloat until he retires.
Hey you cannot call Obama boy that is racist
let's just hope that BHO doesn't turn out to be Carter II.
But then again, that gave rise to Reagan I.
If it wasnt for Goldwater there would have been no Reagan.
Carter was just the democrat on hand. The pendulum has to swing back. As it always has and will.
The Reagan/Carter is an interesting comparison. Reagan's funeral showed an outpouring of respect and admiration. I remember watching it on CNN and a couple of the talking head (biased) reporters were talking to each other. One of them commented on the praise from overseas leaders and the public and said something like, "How did we get the story so off then? What did we miss?"
Carter is regarded as a joke and a failure. The left does try to jack him up, but they sure kept him off the scene in Denver.
I don't like to predict the future, but I guarantee that when Carter passes, there will not be the outpouring of emotion that there was for Reagan.
Enjoy your moment in the sun. Don't forget the sunblock.
Goldwater paved the way and Reagan closed the deal.
Reagan built up the capital that allowed for the Silicon Valley boom.
SIZE OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.
1. Biggest increase in the size of the Federal Government?
A CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN named Dubya. Before HIM? H. W. Bush. BEFORE HIM? RONALD REAGAN.
