You just can't tell when he is playing with you and when he is serious.

He baits the hook - you swallow it whole.

Having said that, I didn't quite follow Lior's post this time either.

I love people who refer to Fox as writing at a 4th grade level, and then start a reply to someone with "My bad."

Just out of curiousity. Do you think that MSNBC is writen at a level that only a college grad can understand?

cmon, you're sounding as obtuse as Quad. You know better than that.

Even tho I strive for objectivity on this board, I admit when it comes to news outlets, I'm biased against Fox & for MSNBC. If you want to criticize MSNBC , feel free, won't bother me. However the criticism of Fox seems to bother you.

Phil, you're one of the board conservatives that I respect, but you do have a tendency for partisan touchiness sometimes.

I do have a tendency to be touchy, and I appologize in advance for future violations.

In mitigation, I live in a very liberal world. Work is with criminal defense attorney.  Most of my friends are artists, dancers, and actor types in Hollywood.  My family thinks I celebrate Uncle Adolph's birthday every April.

I am pretty much surrounded by lefites, and I don't always get the chance to mouth off becuase, believe it or not, in some circles, like work, I am in the closet.  (At times, it is kind of fun living a double life.)

This does not justify, but it may explain.

I can usually understand a person's perspective, though I may not agree with it, if I know where they're coming from, and the context of their daily life.

If you feel it's getting too tight in that closet, you know how to PM me, and we can do some jawin over a drink or some coffee. :)

I think Liorr was rubbing it in on Platypus that Obama's  promised Bush's tax cuts "for the rich" would go away and they are here to stay.
I also think liorr "meant" to say your loss is sports board gain, meaning Platypus is on Sports board hiatus.
Platypus has only posted on SB a handful of times and he wasn't received well.
His first post was a promise,
Just this one time.
His intention was there,
But only to whine.
Complaining about stalking,
But doing the same.
In his defense,
He exhibits deranged.
Lacking substance and quite mundane.
Sports board was hoping,
He would soon refrain.
It was not to be.
His third post was more of the same,
Calling hinself Sherlock,
For what I don't know.
The riddle was solved,
Before he showed,
His imaginary word,
Brought your response.
His fourth post was more of his waste
Another!!copy and paste.
A photo for you,
To show his disdain.
For the pain you inflicted,
When he was corrected.
His fifth post was quite conflicted.
Some things can not be bought,
Acute he is not.
A blind little fish
In a big sea
My drag is set light,

I just wish you had used spaces to separate the quatrains. But otherwise well crafted, witty and original.


I think we may have to reconsider Mein's award for the best poem about Priapus.

You're crediting Quad with a complexity of thought that the 9th gade dropout could hardly muster.

Your "man crush" convinces me that you REALLY need to man up & finally see a provider.

Quad's lengthy poem convinces me that he has a lot of time on his hands, along with fecal matter.

...but it doesn't mean that it's written at the 4th grade level. Olbermann's special comments, regardless of what you think of them politically, are masterfully written.

Conservatives used to write well too. William Buckley, Jr. was an amazing writer. Pat Buchannan is a great writer too. But the stuff on Fox is pretty much drivel.
