The Top Ten Conservative Idiots (No. 160)
June 21, 2004
No Collaborative Relationship Edition
----------------------------------------

Just in case you've been high on crack for the last year-and-a-half, here's a shocking news flash, courtesy of the 9/11 Commission: There was no link between Iraq and al-Qaeda, despite what the Bush Administration (1) has been claiming. But don't worry, Dick Cheney (2) has a very convincing argument in their defense... er, probably. But Dick's not the only person spinning this week! Move America Forward (4) is trying to explain away "Fahrenheit 9/11," Citizens United (8) is engaging in some good old fashioned Clinton-bashing, and Ken Mehlman (9) is just making stuff up. Enjoy ! ! ! :-D

This is great stuff, though I don't know why you'd worry about "uptight conservatives"; obviously, it is far Lefties who keep repeating the same Big Lie who are being lampooned.  How, after all, could this be serious, since all the 9/11 Commission did was confirm what the Bush Administration has been saying all along, i.e., that there were links between Saddam's Iraq and al Qaeda, but no evidence of Iraqi participation in 9/11.  It is only the far Left which has been asserting that the Administration said this, in an effort to create a straw man easily dispatched.

Pathetic.

and what you and the media (and the rather high percentage of the American public) choose to INFER from what has been said is not their responsibility.  Indeed, the Administration's responsibility (one met) is to state the facts, which is exactly what they have done.

And besides, it was you who stated that Bush knew that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.  If that's actually the case, his administration is clearly on a campaign to mislead the American people into thinking otherwise, and they have been on this campaign since WELL before he invaded Iraq.

most recently from Al Gore, yesterday.  It goes something like "It doesn't matter what the Administration actually said.  What matters is what the American people, through their ignorance of foreign policy and intelligence generally, heard, and how we, through our Left-wing fantasies, can misrepresent it."  It's never enough for you Lefties that the Administration has repeatedly said that there's no link of Iraqi complicity in 9/11.  Next, you'll be denying that Iraq supported terrorists and terrorism at all, notwithstanding payments to the families of so-called "Palestinian" homicide bombers.  The only "mislead[ing]" here is by Lefties who, having been unable to produce statements which do not exist, are now left with their ideologically-inspired "interpretation"/misrepresentation of a "campaign."

It's akin to your misrepresentation of my statements.  I never said that "Bush knew that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11," as you accuse me of.  What I have consistently said is that the Administration never said that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11.  I'm not sure we can ever "know" if Iraq had anything to do with 9/11, we can only know if there is evidence that it did, and so far, there appears to be precious little, including the unconfirmed report of Atta's meeting with Iraqi intelligence in Prague.

As for your dismissal of Christianity as "myths," it speaks to your consistently-displayed ignorance that you would dismiss as "myth" a faith that has endured for two millenia and has as its adherents among the greatest men and women of history.

He specifically said that the Administration has information about this that the 9/11 commission did not have in making their report.  In essence, he's admitting that they have chosen NOT to give all of their info to the Commission.  Which is a direct contradiction to earlier administration claims that they would provide the commission with all of the information necessary to do their job.

He started off with "don't ask, don't tell" and the homosexuals think he's with them!

He mistreat just about every woman he is alone with, calls them bimbo's, organizes a Bimbo Squad with our tax dollars  to quiet the building uproar and, you guessed it, NOW adores him, because he's pro women!  WTF

He signs the Defense of Marriage Act and still the homosexuals still adore him - go figure!  Maybe their just want some!

The he signs the Welfare Reform Act and proclaims himself the first "Black President"?  And the Ghetto Pimps rally the masses for him!

Don't try to understand it, Liberalism is a mental illness!

so, a few calls from AQ to Iraq constitutes an alliance (which is, by the way, the drum that the Administration has been beating since 2002)? By that logic, I can say Reagan had an active relationship and alliance with the Soviet Union throughout the 80's. Who knew?

dealing with a nation-state that just happens to be another superpower, at least militarily, and dealing with terrorist organizations.  For one thing, wasn't it the far Left which was complaining about Reagan's failure to deal with the Soviets?

The only reason to "deal" with terrorist organizations is to lend them support, either actively or through appeasement.

Yours isn't logic; it's comparing apples with filet mignon.

they really are not the same.  The modern day RepubliCON party is nothing more than the Hamas/Taliban extremist wing of the conservative movement.  Call the republiCONS anything, but please don't insult me and others by calling them conservatives!!
I would never call democrats socialists/communists.  The extreme liberals yes, but not democrats.  I hope you see the difference:)

but for you EV sure, I'll at least change the Title of MY post.
