White House brands Wikileaks proposed release of documents as dangerous . . .

Dugh, I would say the idiots who allowed the theft of the documents was pretty dangerous.  We talking about 251,287 cables. A PFC is accused of the leak. This would be a good comedy if it wasn't so sad. A PFC has access to this kind of information and can get it out of the building. Wonder what the janitor has access to. Now I could understand it if Hillary smuggled it out in her paint suite.  Who would want to search there.

Our lame fucking government and the state department deserve the humiliation they are about to receive over this fuckup.

If I was head of a foreign goverment I wouldn't trust the U.S. with a roll of tolite paper, unless it was used.

& that PFC deserves a lfe sentence in the brig for putting so many lives at risk; hell, if they executed that traitor, I wouldn't shed a tear.

...that PFC would be viewed as a patriot.

The Vietnam war would not have ended when it did had Daniel Ellsberg not released the Pentagon Papers. That war would have caused us considerable more blood and treasure without Ellsberg's patriotism.

How many of us would be willing to face a jail sentence to stop a war that is destroying this country? Sadly, not too many would.

They came from the gay private who thought he was bullied in the Army .Great case for Obama to let gays be in the military now . I would laugh like hell if Putin made Julian vanish .

I guess we shouldn't let any middle-aged white men be on the White House staff, or any other position where they might expose sensitive state and/or political information.

So, let's just change it to, no white middle to older age guys can be reporters because they may receive information from the government, by another white middle aged guy, and expose it.

The same logic applies when you talk of Obama's stance on DADT.

I do admit, I'm certainly glad that I was done and out before homosexuality, in the armed services, became a big issue. We all knew our ass belonged to our immediate superior, but we took comfort that the worst he would do to it was kick it. Soon, our young men and women will have to worry about whether he'll be poking it also. And, if those civilians who are all so gung ho for it, understood that there is suppose to be recourse for a service member if they are being sexually harassed or abused, just look at the many cases of the women, who have suffered such, and what was done to protect them, and prosecute their abusers.

I am saying all this about WikiLeaks is not gonna help Obama with DADT . I can hear a Marine Commandant  now saying the leaks would not have happened had not the private been gay :)

He didn't name the bank, but everyone believes it's Bank of America. I wonder if he and other WikiLeak members are shorting BAC? Maybe it's time to get the SEC to do a little investigation. Maybe it's time for someone to pay him a late night visit.

Hey marikod, I assume in your view Julian is right up there with Meredith Whitney. At least with Meredith she had facts. Julian is just threatening to release something. Nevertheless, BAC is looking attractive at these levels. Their market cap is $110B, and they have over $300B in cash on their books.

you think it looks "attractive at these levels."

Have I taught you nothing? BAC can't go a month without some new headline sinking their stock price. I thought I was dreaming when I kept seeing "Wikileaks" in the same sentence with BAC.

BAC actually has fallen below $11.00 a share tonight. And as for those talking heads who keep saying BAC is selling below book value, no one knows the true value of the crappy assets on their books.
