Win or lose, this is more like it.  Have the balls to say something away from the safe.

Funny, I read the same article but with a different reaction.  I saw a more desperate Kerry trying to find some fresh ground to stand on as Iraq continues to implode.

It actually shows just how screwed he is: say you're against the war and you're wishy washy; say you're for it and you have no differentiated platform; say you'd implement better and you just sound like a some annoying hindsight wielding, second-guessing whiner.

Is that yet again he has contradicted himself.  A few months back Kerry said that he would still have voted for the war even knowing then what we know now.

At least Kerry isn't still talking about Vietnam, that I do give him credit for - he's moving in the right direction at least - talking about issues at hand.

Too little, too late. And just another one of too many positions that Kerry has tried to take on Iraq.

Kerry's campaign conjurs up the image of an over-aggressive Green Belt sparring a Black Belt. While the Green Belt may have some talent, he keeps attacking without any real strategy, hoping a strike will hit it's mark. Meanwhile the Black Belt keeps him off-balance, taking advantage of the openings created by the Green Belt's lack of control, patiently waiting to deliver the kime waza.

I'll catch hell from the Bush-haters for comparing Bush to a Black Belt. But when comparing the two campaigns, Green Belt Kerry makes Bush look like a Hachidan!

More like the drunken master!  I think you need to factor in the audience.  The US voter is so self absorbed, ignorant  and capricious that it is hard to figure out what will be important to them. Since those words fit the GOP like a glove, little wonder the INCUMBANT is ahead. They usually are.  Even one like this who has just reeled off 4 HORRIBLE years will have an advantage.
