Approval rating tumbled to 68%? Reid and Pelosi would kill for approval ratings half that good.
This story is outrageous. WTF is wrong with MSM these days?! The CNN interviewer had no clue what he was quoting or whose writing he was citing. This is crappy journalism at its worst. Doesn't the MSM do their homework anymore?...specially those who make it to CNN?

CNN Reporter Drew Griffin twists a quote from National Review's Byron York in a seeming attempt to bait Sarah Palin into believing the statement was a slam on her when in fact it was a criticism of press coverage.
Here is what York actually wrote:
Watching press coverage of the Republican candidate for vice president, it’s sometimes hard to decide whether Sarah Palin is incompetent, stupid, unqualified, corrupt, backward, or — or, well, all of the above. Palin, the governor of Alaska, has faced more criticism than any vice-presidential candidate since 1988, when Democrats and the press tore into Dan Quayle. In fact, Palin may have it even worse than Quayle, since she’s taking flak not only from Democrats and the press but from some conservative opinion leaders as well.
[…]
Yes, there are legitimate concerns about Palin’s lack of experience. Who wouldn’t, at the very least, wish that she had more time in the governor’s office on her résumé? But a look at Palin’s 20 months in power, along with interviews with people who worked with her, shows her to be a serious executive, a governor who picked important things to do and got them done — and who didn’t just stumble into an 80 percent job-approval rating.
... and an all-nighter from a fattie, and that leaves enough left over for IHOP and a WSJ.
That was funny...LMAO
There is no doubt that the MSM want Obama to win and will try to destroy anyone (Sarah and Joe the plumber) that will prevent that.
The media coverage of the race for president has not so much cast Barack Obama in a favorable light as it has portrayed John McCain in a substantially negative one, according to a new study of the media since the two national political conventions ended.
Press treatment of Obama has been somewhat more positive than negative, but not markedly so.
But coverage of McCain has been heavily unfavorable -- and has become more so over time. In the six weeks following the conventions through the final debate, unfavorable stories about McCain outweighed favorable ones by a factor of more than three-to-one -- the most unfavorable of all four candidates -- according to the study by the Pew Research Center's Project for Excellence in Journalism.
For Obama during this period, just over a third of the stories were clearly positive in tone (36%), while a similar number (35%) were neutral or mixed. A smaller number (29%) were negative.
For McCain, by comparison, nearly six-in-ten stories studied were decidedly negative in nature (57%), while fewer than two-in-ten (14%) were positive.
This absurdity is a setback for our democracy. Eventually, only mafia dons will have enough $ to run.
that bothers me.
Its the way she will just say anything under pressure. She has no poise whatsoever. Time and time again Palin lies or just plain makes some shit up when faced with tough, but legitimate, relevant questions.
Combine that with her public statements to her husbands secesionist orinisation. They want a freee Alaska(whatever that means). Its a no brainer just like her.
She may be a good Govenor for Alaska. I dont live in fucking Alaska. If you like Palin so much why dont you move there and tell us all what its like.
WTF was McCain thinking? IMO she was a lame attempt to capture Hillary supporters.
Quit blaming the media for doing thier job.
BTW: check your facts "Bro" Palins approval rating has tumbled to 68%. Your just as bad as the MSM you so vehemently critisize. Tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth.~Felix
Rev. Wright, William Ayers,Tony Rezko, the list goes on and on.
Approval rating tumbled to 68%? Reid and Pelosi would kill for approval ratings half that good.
Im no Democrat. However a Palin Presidency has to be avoided.

the list goes on & on...
"doing their jobs" is not the problem. Picking side though certainly is.
or fell would be more appropriate. But these are only Alaskans we're talking about. On the national stage it sits at 44 down from 54.
The bottom line is the more we hear the less we like.
You somewhat intelligent I cant believe you like her in any sense other than maybe as a future provider.
than the super-majority of Alaskans? Maybe so, but whose had the far far longer time to evaluate? And evaluate under conditions far more 'normal' than a POTUS campaign. Or put another way, do you think she's duped all those Alaskans? (Paid off maybe, LOL, since they have a negative income tax, but that started long before Palin.)
Most of what you or everyone's seen of her has either been filtered (dramatically in many cases) by the media or drastically choreographed by McCain's handler's. The glimpses where I've seen her 'let her hair down', I haven’t been turned off. Is she brilliant? Seems not. Is she stupid? Hardly.
I can't find a link yet, but FOX just had some quotes from Lorene Michaels and Alex Baldwin (Baldwin’s a huge detractor of Palin). Quotes based on appearance on SNL last weekend. The excerpts were short and out of context, but they both gave her kudos, not for her performance but for the interaction they had with her. I know it's not much but what the heck.
And she was good on SNL. Maybe she should go into comedy.
I loved John Belushi, Dan Akroyd all those guys. That didnt mean I wanted them running the country.
I can see the skit now. Samurai Politics. lol
Im frankly surprised you even went here.
Is this it? The best argument for Palins VP nomination is.... Shes funny.
We already knew that.
Thats why shes captured the eye of MSM as you well know.
is to set up a strawman from nothing that even remotely coresponds to what I posted. It's ben nice while it lasted.
Im surprised they even let her on there. More stupidity from the GOP.
What she needs to do to get my respect is go on a legitmate news show and answer some questions from an unbiased reporter like Bill Maher on HBO. Sit across from a panel and speak intelligently for longer than 5 minutes using her own words.
Now that would take the kind of balls necessary to run my country pal.
I know its a wet dream.
That one of the funniest things I've heard in a while.
Bill Maher has become so biased in his hatred for all things Republican I can't bring myself to watch his show.
I was just seeing how many people actually back clicked to previous posts.
You duped me. I was 16 at the time and yes it has changed quite a bit.
. . . on oil companies? You do realize also that she was governor during the time that Alaska's economy was booming due to the price of oil? It's easy to become very popular if your constituency is getting rich. If she could hold popularity now that oil prices have deflated, that would be a good trick.
The results won't be in on the pipeline decision for a number of years, 10 or 15.
Her ethics reforms were basic boilerplate stuff. Judging by that alone, I don't think Alaska prepares you for Washington, DC. Like it or not, Chicago is a much better school for that.
Then there's her involvement in the AIP. Having a big-mouth pastor is one thing, but having a close involvement in a party that wants to secede from the United States-- IMHO, that borders on the treasonous.
Now, there are people who have had questionable involvements in groups and renounced them. Robert Byrd with the KKK is the best example. She hasn't done that. She actually sent them a video wishing them well at their convention.
This chick isn't ready.
But the article wasn't well written either. Moreover, it's Repubs who discarded Dan Quayle after they were humiliated so badly by him.
That from the same party that gave us Dubya.
