I agree with you. The Dem party is terrible at standing up to our crazies on the fringe. These type of issues don't play well with middle class, blue collar people. I think they are starting to get it though. . Case in point, they chose Elissa Slotkin for the rebuttal last night who did a great job. She isn't all wrapped up in the lunatics in our far left fringe and doesn't speak in what James Carville calls "NPR language." She is from a key battleground state and she talks in ways that working class people can relate to and appreciate. . We lost people making under $100k to Trump. If that wasn't a wake up call for the party that used to crush it with hard working, blue collar types, nothing will. I am glad they chose her. She killed it last night.

The democrats are starting to wake up and realize that idiots like Jamal Bowman, AOC, cori Bush, ayana Presley and Ilan Omar will lose them elections moving forward.
The puppeteers of their party are smart to put Slotkin forward to try and project a moderate image but she isn’t what the party stands for. I hope people realize that.
she obviously wrote the speech before she heard Trump's speech. It was all generalities and platitudes and did not offer any path for Democrats to prosperity in the future. This is the same type of speech Kamala gave throughout the campaign, and we know how well that worked for her. Slotkin did it because no one else would. She was clearly out of her depth.
