A Day in the Life of Joe Middle-Class Republican

Found on the web.....

Joe gets up at 6:00am to prepare his morning coffee. He fills his pot full of good clean drinking water because some liberal fought for minimum water quality standards. He takes his daily medication with his first swallow of coffee. His medications are safe to take because some liberal fought to insure their safety and work as advertised.

All but $10.00 of his medications are paid for by his employers medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance, now Joe gets it too. He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs this day. Joe’s bacon is safe to eat because some liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

Joe takes his morning shower reaching for his shampoo; His bottle is properly labeled with every ingredient and the amount of its contents because some liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained. Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some tree hugging liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air. He walks to the subway station for his government subsidized ride to work; it saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees. You see, some liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.

Joe begins his work day; he has a good job with excellent pay, medicals benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some liberal union members fought and died for these working standards. Joe’s employer pays these standards because Joe’s employer doesn’t want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed he’ll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some liberal didn’t think he should loose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

Its noon time, Joe needs to make a Bank Deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe’s deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some liberal wanted to protect Joe’s money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the depression.

Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae underwritten Mortgage and his below market federal student loan because some stupid liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his life-time.

Joe is home from work, he plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive to dads; his car is among the safest in the world because some liberal fought for car safety standards. He arrives at his boyhood home. He was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers Home Administration because bankers didn’t want to make rural loans. The house didn’t have electric until some big government liberal stuck his nose where it didn’t belong and demanded rural electrification. (Those rural Republican’s would still be sitting in the dark)

He is happy to see his dad who is now retired. His dad lives on Social Security and his union pension because some liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn’t have to. After his visit with dad he gets back in his car for the ride home.
He turns on a radio talk show, the host’s keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. (He doesn’t tell Joe that his beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day) Joe agrees, “We don’t need those big government liberals ruining our lives; after all, I’m a self made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have”.

Bow down and pay homage to these grand, benevolent "liberals". Are these the say bastard "liberals" that took all of Joe's liberty and required him to say "baa" all the time? Are these the same "liberals' that were sitting on their ass whining all day while old Joe worked? Oh, I forgot, they earned that right for all they "fought" for and gave to the plebians. I say, do the world a favor and kick a pseudo-liberal (today's liberal) in the ass.

.... And I'll GLADLY give up every one of those things they've done with it!
I've managed just fine to not use or participate in most of the liberal tripe mentioned in that article, and what I have used, is mainly do to not being able to AVOID it, due to a gov-monopoly on the issue!

With the other 60+% of MY money that I never get to see, I could do all that and more... including buy the family farm...(Or at least maintain my dignity while I died trying!)

The difference is that "everyone" could not do this, some people are simply sucklings, an never see life beyond what is provided for them...

What the article failed to mention is that "Joe" is so strapped down by the burdEn of the taxes and regulations that he's stuck in the web of his miserable existance, and that the only satisfaction  he gets in his day is pulling down his pants and jerking himself off to some internet porn that some liberal down at the ACLU faught for his freedom to view....  Joe will eventually put a gun in his mouth and blow out the back of his head, because his life is a fucking PRISON!!!

Really? You'll gladly give up:
Clean water
safe drugs
clean air
safe food
trustworthy banks
access to education
auto safety

I think not.

The thought that these things would not develop without a LAW demanding it and an agency regulating it is ASSININE!!

"Clean water" existed before some liberal desided it was a good idea... It just so happens to be abundant in our land... But now thanks to all the liberal regulations, industry has been made *unaffordable* in this country and has mostly moved over-seas... Now they can have some dirty water and the jobs that come with it!

"safe drugs" is another crock of shit,,, how about "really expesive drugs", since that's what the mountain of regulations has produced... Give me those cheap Canadian or Mexican drugs! Or at least stop blocking me from getting them!

"clean air", I'll give you that one,,, Some tiny diffrences have been made in densely populated factory/blue-collar areas by the liberal over-regulations, but don't give libs too much credit! It's mainly due to the loss of polutant-producing factories to other less regulated countries like China rather than the  actual clean-up of our industrial sector.

"safe food" - How about eating natural food grown the way God intended it? The problems with industrialized-food STARTED with Government and taxation! (land tax, followed by the layer of regulations that came with every farm-relief bill!) If the burden were reduced, the simplicity of producing food naturally would flurish!

"trustworthy banks" - would still develop due to demand, but instead of being bemouth-empires like they are now, more local-independent lending co-ops would have formed. (kind of like themicro-lender movent is doing today!) Yup, some people would get fucked every now and then, but theres people still getting fucked today, even with all the regulations!

"access to education" - has become so easy that many who attend college don't cherish the privilege  and pary, drink and fuck their way through school,,, No wonder a degree is becoming worth less and less in the job-market over the years, while hands-on success is becoming more and more valued by employers...

"auto safety" - You're going to see that go the other  direction now that your liberal safety/emission/fuel-economy standards has just about bankrupted the Big Three!

"Safety" is a privilege, not a right, and it's available to those that can afford it,but in trying to continually "level the playing-field" w  lose site our freedom to get hurt! Risk often has it's rewards, but if we are held down to where we cannot attempt things, we sink in our own shit...

You have condensed the milk of human kindness (as curdled in the Conservative breast) so eloquently that I cannot improve upon it. Safety is for those who can afford it. Fuck the 'lower classes'.
Have some cake, you've earned it.

here near the end of a year filled with catastrophe, tragedy and bumbling perpetrated by conservatives on this great nation of ours, you have written possibly the stupidest thing I have read all year. Congratulations! You have lifted "moronic" to an art form.

that you did not take time to try to understand the writing, but, instead, gave it the pseudo-lib out-of-hand rejection. That attitude, so prevalent amongst libs make it difficult to educate them without first getting their attention. Hang in there though, my observation is that time tends to cure most pseudo-lib delusions except in full time EL/AR sheep herders such as professional politician type.

Contrary to current lib philosophy "people are endowed by their creator with certain rights" including ther right to "life". One's safety can not be separated from that even though libs constantly try. Yes, libs say "fuck the plebians", "we have our security and those lowlife bastards  are a threat to us so disarm them". To the rest of the "lower class" I say, get a Colt and screw the EL/AR libs, we'll leave them alone if they leave us alone, but if they want to give us crap we'll give them lead.

(ROTFL!)

I don't really expect to ever "change" a liberal, just as a Christian I don't really ever expect to "convert" an athiest... (or an unbeliever)

I 'm content with them following the course of their decisions,,, As long as they respect my right to do so as well...

But I do feel it's nessessary to at least offer the other side of these issues in the market place of ideas for the undesided mass that may still be searching... They should at least be allowed to hear both sides before they choose their destiny... (Liberals often like to take the floor and censor opposing opinion, much like how commie's so violently oppose free-assembly, or Bibles in their countries!)

One of the more embarrassing aspects of being associated with Evangelicals is when they strive to "convert" non-believers...

Jesus never comanded us to go out and "convert" anybody, we were only asked to go out and "reason with" the masses. Any "converting" that may or may not is God's responsibility to either "call" someone according to his purpose, or "turn them over to a reprobate mind"...

The Bible does say "no one comes unto the Father unless called by his spirit", Yet Evangelical fools standing on street corners handing out Bible-tracts end up turning off more people that they attract thinking that they are doing "God's will"... Thus they are the only picture that the "lost" have of Christianity and they super-impose that image on the rest of us....

That is hardly a liberal philosophical statement. I commend to you the post to which I responded.
Thanks for playing.

someone like harryj is that first you must convince him that "up" is indeed "up" and not "down". It is not worth debating him until he has had several years of counseling and some serious medication.
