The Secret Service joins local code enforcement and sheriff's officials to evaluate the Halloween display that shows a likeness of the Republican vice presidential nominee hanging by a noose.

ChadMichael Morrisette thought it would be fun to throw a little politics into his Halloween decorating this year since the holiday comes only four days before the presidential election.

For weeks the life-size mannequin of Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin that hung from a noose around its neck in front of Morrisette's West Hollywood home caused little controversy.

and the presidential candidates.

The two idiots who were arrested in Tennessee were most likely incapable of assassinating Obama.  However, they were taken very seriously and will be facing Federal charges as they should be.  The Secret Service does an excellent job of protecting our President and in this case presidential candidates.  With all the turmoil this country is facing the last thing we need is for one of the candidates to be assassinated or seriously injured.  The idiot who hung Palin in effigy is a moron and is no different than the racists who put a noose around the neck of a stuffed monkey and called it Obama.

BTW I have a policy of not responding to spammer’s posts or posters who are not capable of responding without calling names and attempting to demean other posters.  I strayed from my policy this time because you somehow think this is a funny situation.

to put him on our "do not feed the troll" list. I would hope to add you to that list.

As far as the various morons that you list, it does go to show that neither party has a monopoly on idiocy.

Noosed Palin mannequin removed from yard

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -

Amid a growing frenzy of protesters and media surrounding his home, Chad Morrisette decided his noosed Sarah Palin mannequin should be cut loose.

He and his partner had created the effigy of the GOP vice presidential hopeful three weeks ago and vowed to keep it outside their home until Halloween, despite widespread criticism from neighbors and local officials. On Wednesday the mayor convinced Morrisette the mannequin should come down.

"I explained to them that this could be dangerous to you and your neighbors," said Mayor Jeff Prang, noting that he received hundreds of venomous e-mails from people offended by the display. "They were totally unprepared for this kind of international attention, for the amount of impact on their home and their neighborhood."
