Bill Gates funded group predicting 93,000 U.S. deaths.

With a possible low of 39,000 and a high of 177,000.

Not quite the 500,000 to 2.2 million the NY Slimes breathlessly ran with just a few weeks ago.

Wheww..well ok then. Now trump will boast that he saved MILLIONS from dying...watch, this will happen. He'll get this all twisted.

That's a potential savings of 2.1 million lives. Now Trump should no more get all the credit if those figures are accurate than he is getting all the blame from The Left now, but he should get SOME credit, right?

And you tell me, what would the Left be saying if Obama saved millions of lives? No need to answer. We all know. I mean fuck, they gave him the Nobel Peace prize and since then Mari has called him a murderer so who knows? Lol

Now that's getting pathetic or desperate, really Obama, now? He's your throw in?That's the best ya got?..C'mon you are better then that aren't you?....Give me hope, please.
But tell me, the worse case scenario was 2M death if trump did NOTHING...I mean to achene that, trump would have to be one dumb mother,... But you know he'll boast about that, how he saved millions....and you'll eat that shit up as to some great achievement.....Simply Incredible

At least you are honest enough to acknowledge that Trumps actions have brought the predicted numbers down and down by quite a bit.

That's all I ask. Give the man SOME credit. We can always argue how much credit later. I am sure we will. lol

Credit?  He's done the bare minimum.  He's bungled every decisions he's made since the very beginning.  He even screwed up the one thing he always talks about "I stopped the flights from China."  He only banned foreign nationals (i.e. Chinese people) from coming in, rather than everyone coming in from the area.  Unless maybe he thought only Chinese people could carry the virus.

Seriously...his response has been pretty much the same as a guy unplugging all the fire alarms in his house.  And when he wakes up and his house is burning down, you want to give him credit for saving the lives of his his wife and kids before going outside.

Said by everyone on MSNBC. LOL

And yet we are doing much better than virtually all of Western Europe. Go figure...

You really do lack critical thinking skills.  You can call his decisions bungled because they are...not because certain people in the media do.  The fact that you continually ascribe criticism to left wing media bias further demonstrates you take your marching orders from Hannity and the rest of that crew.

How's this for a thought experiment.  Here are just a few decisions that have been made.  We won't even touch all of the misleading things that have been said to the public....just decisions.  And without turning to your right wing cheat sheet...try to let the remaining unbiased parts of your brain decide "good decision or bad decision"

1.  Decline to attend and then dismiss 2/3 of his staff that actually went to the pandemic emergency briefing given by the outgoing adminstration.
2.  Dismiss the pandemic response team that was part of the National Security Council, and fail to reassemble them when needed.
3.  Fail to procure or increase production of predicted medical supplies despite multiple warnings from military, intelligence and public health officials.
4.  Fail to engage our world leading biotech industry to create an effective test or use the WHO test...leading to being the last of the developed countries in having a robust testing and surveillance system.  Allowing widespread infection to spread undetected for weeks.
5.  Allowing a confusing mass of profiteering, confusion, and inefficiency by allowing states and FEMA to bid against each other for desperately needed medical supplies.  Rather than utilizing the power of the government to create a streamlined, cost effective and efficient system of centralized collection and distrubution.

Seriously...are you really saying those are bad decisions only if you look at them through the lens of MSNBC?

And really...stop with your ludicrous assertion that just because we are doing just as bad, or slightly better (generously) than the worst results in the developed world somehow is something to be proud of.  Why don't you compare us to the countries that did the best in the world and wonder why we couldn't do the same?  Seriously...just stop with this.  "Look Mom...I got a D+.  That's pretty good when you compare it to the guys who got F's right?"

Somehow I doubt it.

Even FM caught on after about your second or third post. and he's supposed to be the "dumb" righty around here, or at least that what you and BPOS claim about him. He's still a thousand times smarter than you.

BTW this will be my only reply to you, until you can come up with a new alias AND fake your writing style a little better that is. Now please piss off

Don't be a "Get off my lawn guy"....this board needs more voices....come on now.
We need more voices, left and right....party pooper

but having the very same voices simply posted under a new name doesn't add a thing to the board.

Now GET OFF MY LAWN YOU KIDS!!! lol

Of all the people on this board, there are only three that I have made a pointed decision NOT to talk to. "once" is one of them, if Laffy simply started posting under another handle, do you think all of a sudden I would start talking to him again? Of course not. If Duller is indeed "once" than I have nothing to say to him. People on this board are not "owed" a response.  I post here for entertainment, talking to any one of those three doesn't entertain me at all. If they, or anyone else for that matter, doesn't like it, well too fucking bad.

You recently fucked up on your math, your response was to "own it" when your mistake was pointed out to you. YOU are someone I can talk to, even though we disagree on just about everything. lol

I don't know.  You'll have to ask whoever that is.  If you can't believe there's someone here who has been around but hasn't feel the need to participate until now, that's on you.  This public health issue happens to be something that I actually know a bit about and I've seen too many posts defending decisions that are actually killing citizens and the health care workers trying to take care of them.

I really don't care if you respond to me or not.  Somehow I don't I'm missing out.  And if people will stop posting mistaking incompetence with good leadership, I'll happily go back to lurking.

that public health is something you know about.

what exactly do you know about public health?

what is your background?

Why not just post what you sent to me in your PM to me?

C'mon boy fess up have some guts

Because like I said...there is no point in hijacking this thread any further with an unrelated issue that only matters to you.

But since you asked...here's what I sent to you for public consumption:

"I directly take care of these patients in the ICU. And I also have a public heath degree along with an excellent understanding of viral epidemiology that is current with the times.

I understand the science and public health issues of what is going on very well and I am literally watching people unnecessarily die right in front of me because of the poor decision making that has been going on the last 3 months when everyone in the field could see this coming and knew what needed to be done."

to quote you  you

""I directly take care of these patients in the ICU."

you are full of shit. If you were directly taking care of patients in ICU, you would not have the time to post on a fuck board.
you are a fucking liar.

I have a degree in bullshit detection and you set off the alarm, but hey don't stop watching you twist, squirm and wiggle
is fucking fun

hijacking thread/ just another one of your attempts to divert from the fact you are a fraud, liar.

Uh....not everywhere in the country happens to be as stressed as NYC, Detroit, or New Orleans.  There are plenty of places in the country where our schedules are relatively normal for now.  And I happen to be spending my off time doing the right thing and staying home.  Posting on the board is something I can do while I am forced to overpay online for N95s and P100 respirators for the rest of my team now that our PPE is about to run out.

As for hijacking the thread...you're the one who started this game of "hey...I think this is someone using a different name"  Believe what you want.  Everyone else can make up their own minds.  But you do you.  If you get some kind of perverse joy out of thinking you found something (when you are so hysterically wrong), then I'm glad to make you feel better in what is a stressful time for all of us.

But how about this?  Rather than going to the playbook of name calling and attacking the messenger.  Why don't you respond to any of the substantive points that have been made regarding the actual topic?

What about instead of comparing the current response against the ridiculous standard of "nothing" we actually do a useful comparison of results?  A fair comparison would be to look at the results of the USA against the results of all the other countries in the world.

At the top of the list would be countries that have manged to make it past the peak of infections with a low death rate, an intact heath care system, no need for crippling shutdowns, and no need for massive bailouts that will hamper the economy for generations.

And at the bottom...pretty much the complete opposite of that.  The total effectiveness of our response is yet to be determined, but I'll leave it to yourself to objectively look at where we are headed.

Trump fucked this one really badly but his base is not the smartest to understand it. Trump did promise the he will make USA#1 and he did
