The Dishonorable Elise Stefanik Has Her UN Ambassadorship Nomination Withdrawn

Well, chunky Stefanik's loss is the UN's gain.

This up-to-then  obscure, bulky backbencher got her 15 minutes of fame [or infamy], and milked it expertly back in November and December of 2023, browbeating some hapless university professors over totally bullshit and manufactured claims of raging antisemitism on various campuses of the USA higher education universe.

No word from her victims, their reactions just might be interesting. Would they be able to Curb Their Gloating?

The rationale is that they needed the porky presence of Rep Stefanik to help bulk up [insulting pin intended] the slim GOP margin in the House.

Her star turn delayed, the porcine politico seemed to take it well, but who knows how she really feels about this reversal of fortune?

I suspected she was going to pull a Moynihan.  Back in 1975-76, Daniel Moynihan parlayed a brief stint as US Ambassador to the UN into FOUR terms as US Senator from NY state.  I was banking her to try to hang on to the job through the middle of 2027, and then resigning to announce her run for the US Senate in 2028.

Now, she can still run for the Senate, but her platform is now a much lower profile position.

No reaction from AIPAC and The ADL and CUFI  and other Israel Lobby groups.  They obviously backed the wrong horse, [or whale, as the case might be], but there's plenty more thralls out there where Elise came from.

I'm curious as to who will be the next nominee.  ADL cueball Greenblatt? Neo-McCarthyite pseudo journalist Bari Weiss?

I'm staying tuned.

I have no love for Stefanik, and never really understood the appeal, but her critique of weak kneed university presidents was totally justified as they repeatedly failed to condemn calls for the on campus demands by some fanatics for the genocide of Jews.

Just imagine for one second what they would have done if those protesters were calling for blacks or members of the LGBTQ+ community to be murdered.  
.
Those elitists left a void so wide that even a dolt like Stefanik could easily walk right in and claim the moral high ground while bashing them over the head with their own obvious, brazen hypocrisy. They actually made her look intelligent and tough, something I would have thought impossible just days before those hearings.  
.
We lost the election for a number of reasons i.e. high inflation, a border in crisis, Progressives who hid Joe's mental state among them etc but we also lost because we, on all too many occasions, didn't have the balls to stand up to our fringe, far Left wing of our party.

Stefanik (and Trump) won by a substantial margin last November but polls in her Syracuse district aren't looking so good for a Republican right now. This is also born out by several high-profile losses by Republicans in recent days in what had been MAGA country.
Seems like the anger against the Trump/Musk duo has spread to Red States.
Oh, the horror.

I am always amazed, when not outright disgusted, when Gentiles shill so heavily for Israel.

I wonder if she is fully bought and paid or just rents out for limited times?

BUT take a look at who butters her campaign finance bread.  Which raises a chicken and egg question.  Which comes first: the [genuine?] pro-Israel sympathies of the chunky one which are rewarded afterwards OR the campaign $ funding which elicits pro-Israel sympathies?
