..So let me get this straight, you're not ok with Muslims being in the cabinet?  Since when in the heck does one's religion have anything to do with their job qualifications?  Or is it just your fear that since they're not white, Christian males they obviously want to destroy America?  America was NOT founded as a Christian nation and it has no national religion.  America is a wonderful place because no matter your beliefs, you can accomplish anything if you're willing to work hard. My brain was insulted by reading your thoughts.  I will pray for you and your ignorance.  Hopefully one day all that will matter to you is whether or not a person can do the job.
I am fully aware that one of the first lines of defense will be "but Muslims hate us!".  Yeah, some do.  We gave them plenty of good reason to.  But that's a select few.  There are a select few Christians, Buddhist and Atheists who hate us also.  Grow up.

With all due respect Sir,  we are "the INFIDELES" to  the Muslims and if you don't think so,  then just pray for yourself,  don't pray for me.  I am a Spiritualist/Pantheist and have no believe in your "Gelatinous Being" that says I am going to hell.
And since when were soo many Muslims in an Administration?  And as far as   your statement  "America is a wonderful place because no matter your beliefs, you can accomplish anything if you're willing to work hard."  Yes it does appear that the Muslims  (and yes I recognize all MUslims are not that way,  I have Muslim best friend in the business,  and she will not let anyone know that she is Muslim because of the radicals in our society)  do beieve,  come to America,  get welfare,  get school paid then ATTACK.  And if you think they are not infiltrating,  come back when we have the next attack and say that,  or better yet,  pray to your God.

I do hope your not caught up in the next attack.

and truth be told it explains many of the horrible things we have done as a nation.

but as for Muslims in the Cabinet or anywhere else in Government, unless they start calling for sharia law, they are no more scary than fundamentalist Christians in positions of power, actually a lot less so. Have you heard some of the stupid shit that comes out of the mouths of such "mainstream Christians" as Rick Perry or Todd Akin? now that's fucking scary, and they are actually in positions of real power.

I suppose the OP was in favor of rounding up all the slant eyes during WWII too, because they might be loyal to the motherland? I too would ask the OP to grow the fuck up, but you can't fix stupid.

Honestly WIlly,  I have very little in faith in our government protecting our boundaries,  the first priorities these days is to line their own pocketbooks.

16 hrs into interrogation of the younger brother,  our wonderful Head of the Dept of Justice,  Mr Eric Holder had all interrogation ceased,  when the FBI was certainly getting plenty of info and had 40 hrs to do so,  they did find out about the "want of the brothers to bomb Time Square".  Do you ever wonder why they were stopped?  I don't call that,  protecting America.

Bring up gun control or taxes and one of the first things you'll hear, from the right is "the Slippery Slope." We all know what that means, so I won't go into it. However,  for many on the right, when it comes to talking about taking away someone's civil rights as a U.S. citizen, the concept goes out the window!   ;)

I am glad, but with some reservations that an American citizen on American soil will not be, and still cannot be tried as an "enemy combatant" by a military tribunal. That would be the ultimate example of a "slippery slope" and would scare me more than a thousand bombers.

The thought that I could be swept up off the street, detained indefinitely, and tried by a military tribunal without due process of law quite frankly scares me even more than the very real terrorist threat that we face. I hate to say this but we need the loony left to protect our rights every bit as much as we need the "law and order" right to protect us from terrorists both from within and from abroad.

Here in L.A. one probably has more of chance of getting shot or run over due to "Road Rage," than being killed by a terrorist. Once you give to someone the powers that the law enforcement officers have, things can go south very quickly, even for the average behaving and looking citizen. And, the more power, the more temptation to abuse it. And, we all know that the cops protect their own.

The rationale is/was that they had an ironclad case against him even if every thing he told them before being Mirandized where to be thrown out, (which of course it would be).LE wanted to exert as much pressure as possible to get him to reveal any other plots he might have known about to save potential lives.

I have very mixed emotions about this one. If lives were saved because of this it could be argued that trampling his constitutional rights was justified, and if it saved someone I knew you would be hard pressed to get me to think otherwise, BUT where do we stop in our efforts to save lives? Do we give up all of freedoms and become a police state in order to feel safe? Tough questions and I don't really have the answer, but the term "slippery slope" certainly applies here.

His rights were not trampled by the pre-Miranda interrogation.  There is a special exception in that ruling permitting a delay in reading him his rights if the public safety is at risk, as it was in this case because LE did not know if there were more bombs out there as well as co-conspirators.  Once they had enough to be sure that was not the case, they read him his rights as they were required to do.  As you have pointed out, none of the pre-Miranda info they received needs to be admissible, given the other evidence

Yes, this would have been considered "trampling on his constitutional rights"

I will grant it's a tough balancing act between keeping the public safe, and safeguarding our constitutional rights. Like I said, I have very mixed emotions on this, but I will agree that in this case at least, and from what I have heard SO FAR at least that LE operated in a legal and judicious manner. If other facts come out to the contrary I might very well change my mind, but this is by no means an easy call for LE.

My believe that a "mind set" that is deep into the culture of "radical Muslims"  and that WE ARE AT WAR with,   and yes, "it is war",   will stop at nothing  till they see this nation destroyed, they are not a fleeting fad but a relentless force to be reckoned with.
If we as a country let up one iota,  then we will be destroyed from within and possibly the Trojan Horse is here, (my point of OP)   the only thing that separated us from the WW's was due to our geographical position.  Due diligence needs to be done by our government constantly,  and IMHO one arm of the government has no idea what the other arm is doing,  they are puppets that are just looking to satisfy their own needs,  wants desires,  they certainly are not looking out for their citizens.

Your apprehension seems misplaced.  I believe the people on your list are American citizens-at least.  Consider the following list of people in high positions withing the Obama administration having dual Israeli/US citizenship.

Steven Simon – Head of Middle East/North Africa Desk at the National Security Council

Susan Sher (2009-2011) Chief of Staff to the First Lady
Lee Feinstein (2009) Campaign Foreign Policy Advisor

 Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ)
 Jane Harman (D-CA)
 Steve Israel (D-NY)
 Sander Levin (D-MI)
 Nita Lowey (D-NY)
 Jerrold Nadler (D-NY)
 Jared Polis (D-CO)
 Steve Rothman (D-NJ)
 Jan Schakowsky (D-IL)
 Allyson Schwartz (D-PA)

 Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL)
 Henry Waxman (D-CA)
 John Yarmuth (D-KY)

Before anyone goes through the usual knee jerk to denounce me as an "anti-semite," I would ask if you would feel safe if the people in those positions had dual American/North Korean citizenship?  In a time, not so long ago, a person could neither run nor vote for the office of dogcatcher who wasn't an American citizen.  For most of America's existence, obtaining American citizenship REQUIRED and DEMANDED the applicant to relinquish his former citizenship.

The precise meaning of a Jew having a dual citizenship means that he or she is still a citizen of Israel. Any citizen of another country should be denied of any security clearance and an automatic ineligibility for political office. But, as you can see by the above list, many Jewish citizens of Israel are virtually running this country.

So what, you may ask, what difference does it make?  For example, The recent NDAA bill that has passed congress which gives the government the legal authority to kidnap, and indefinitely detain American citizens without trial was written and introduced by Joseph Lieberman and Carl Levin, both Dual Israeli American Citizens  To complicate this even further, Joseph Lieberman, Carl Levin, Dianne Feinstein and Daniel Benjamen are the officials who would decide your fate under NDAA.

One of Judaism's highest holidays is Yom Kippur.  Observant Jews recite the "Kol Nidre" (which means "All vows") as the liturgical beginning of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) services. The text of the prayer goes,

"All vows, obligations, oaths, and anathemas, whether called konam, konas, or by any other name, which we may vow, or swear, or pledge, or whereby we may be bound, from this Day of Atonement until the next (whose happy coming we await), we do repent. May they be deemed absolved, forgiven, annulled, and void, and made of no effect; they shall not bind us nor have power over us. The vows shall not be reckoned vows; the obligations shall not be obligatory; nor the oaths be oaths."

Our Supreme Court has allowed Israelis citizens to retain dual citizenship.  Those dual citizens serving in the US government have been working as an unseen, disloyal 5th column doing all they can to turn America into the West Bank or Gaza, ever since.

How is what you said not racist? You have no reason to hate the individual but you grouped them all together. You can't even state exactly why any of those government officials are evil. You have zero proof but sputtering out hate.

By your reasoning I should assume all white men are serial killers, kkk, and cannibals... since almost all were, I should just group them all together right??? Wrong. Or perhaps I should think Christians are out to kill in the name of religion (do you not remember their extensive past?) Wrong yet again.

There is good people and bad people of all races/sexuality/sex/religion... It is wrong to hold what a few do against the all.
You must not believe in the constitution as we are all innocent until proven guilty.

You really need to open your eyes, there are plenty of extremists Christians as well (kkk, neo nazis, terrorists against our own country!, not even including the ones who do whatever they can to force their beliefs on others and our government laws) You don't seem to be concerned about them though.

Jewish people have a right to dual citizenship. Is it right or wrong? I am not sure how I feel about it. Most don't even ask for it, it is just given. Doesn't make them less of an American.

I studied Islam for a few years (in the past), so I must be a former terrorist to you too huh? Or wait, you must hate me even more because I grew up Catholic and realized it wasn't for me. Then I took the time to learn other religions to find my peace. I figured out I believe in all the good of each religion but not the bad (that they all have).

You should be ashamed that this is the type of person you are. Wonder what else you hate when they did nothing to be hated on.

Asinine to think they are all out to get us. Did you do the math Einstein? We'd be already dead hands down, if that was true.
