Since Nicky finally realizes why open borders is a disaster, and 663,000 criminals coming across the border certainly proves the border is open, then Nicky has logically only one thing left to do: endorse Donald Trump and vote for him.

Biden and Harris a pass for not closing the border EVEN THOUGH Homeland security KNEW there were thousands of immigrants that came here illegally in the past and were murderers and rapists.  You can't have it both ways, either Biden/Harris did NOT know how dangerous opening the border would be, and were just inexperienced and naive, or they DID know, and knowingly allowed them to come anyway and thereby put American citizens at risk for murder and rape, which has already started in some cities.  Would you agree with me that either of these scenarios would amount to gross incompetence on the part of Biden/Harris?

Also missing from your view of "reality' is the fact that Biden and Harris were working with Congress on a comprehensive bill to finally fix the border crisis -- working with Tom Lankford, one of the most conservative Reps around -- only to have it shot down by Trump because he didn't want the problem solved when he was running for office. Lankford was quite candid about how his Republican colleagues who had previously given his bill strong support abandoned him to do Trump's bidding.
Now cue up your predictable bullshit about how his bill was flawed. But it was the product of what's now missing in DC -- bipartisan compromise. There was something in it for each side to like...and to dislike. But instead we got nothing. Except for Republican blame-gaming.
And once the bill died, Biden/Harris cracked down and we have had for the past few months far fewer illegal crossings. But that hasn't stopped the whiners from, well, whining

the BIG LIE here is when Biden/Harris call this a "bi-partisan" bill? There was only ONE Republican that was for the bill, while there were several Democrats who ultimately voted against it.  There was more BI-PARTISAN opposition than there was Bi-partisan support.  Only the Kool-aid drinkers continue to believe these claims from Biden/Harris that it would have passed except for Trump.  The Dems did not have a unanimous vote even among their own party.  That's why they have a Congressional Record where you can look things up.  

Here's a summary from CNN on where things stood before Trump killed the bill:

GOP Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina – who has also been involved in the talks – said he didn’t know if anyone could convince Trump to not kill the deal. But he acknowledged that it would take some “courage” for members to be able to press ahead at this point in defiance of Trump – though Tillis argued it would ultimately be beneficial for Trump for them to pass a border security deal and help address the flow of migrants trying to enter the country.

“I think this is when members of the Senate have to show some courage and do something that at the end of the day will be very helpful for President Trump,” Tillis said.

Asked whether it was a mistake for Trump to be assailing this deal, Tillis said: “I’ll leave it to him to figure out how he needs to get into office. I hope you’ll leave it to some of us who would support that effort to give him the tools he needs to really manage the border and the abuse and the dangerous situation we have today.”

For his part, McConnell – who has had zero relationship with Trump since the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack – downplayed Trump’s opposition saying, “It’s not anything new,” and insisting they were not abandoning the talks."

Yes, there were negotiations during the process, but the only thing that matters is what the VOTE was at the end of the day.  The Senate Democrats did not have enough votes to advance the bill into the House.  It didn't matter what Trump said.  Even the four Republicans who worked on the bill did not vote for it when it came up for a vote.  It has no provision to close the border, at the insistence of the Dems, so it was doomed from the start.

The "four Republicans who worked on the bill did not vote for it" because Trump TOLD them not to. So, yes, it mattered a great deal what Trump said. CDL's desperation is showing because he knows I stuffed his very weak argument.
Not to mention that the provisions of the bill were the result of negotiation and compromise, just like most things that happen in DC. That's the way our government is supposed to work, despite that fact that CDL and his fellow righties hate it.
