The Gazans will come to their own conclusions but many will simply vote with their feet and figure out ways to escape the area and settle in Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon. Those who falsely call themselves "Palestinians" are incapable of assimilation or functioning peacefully outside the group. The American experiment has proven that people can move here from all over the world and assimilate into a wide range of communities. When some initially gravitate to areas where there are people who speak the same foreign language, once assimilated, they often move far from these familiar groups in order to give their families a better shot at the American dream in a new environment. There is a Ukranian family that just moved into my neighborhood. Owns a large, successful trucking company that operates between SoCal and the great lakes area, where he moved from. You have assumed I stated or implied that Palestinians "are incapable to assimilation." Some have and some will not. They were promised a homeland by the UN in 1948 and, by whatever name you call them, have lived on that land for generations. So a good percentage of them will stay and fight unless given some sort of viable state. So just as a matter of pragmatism, without a state there will be war everlasting.

Native Americans weren't "relocated to safe areas," they were thrown off their ancestral lands so the land could be given to gold miners (like the Black Hills), or given to farmers. And they lived on reservations in poverty and ill health for more than 100 years before anyone thought to build a casino.
