I have decided to stick with love.  Hate is too great a burden to bear Dr. Martin Luther King

Quad while listening to your song tribute, I remember standing on top of a mountain in CO this summer, where Katherine Lee Bates wrote the poem Pikes Peak that would give lyrics to America the Beautiful.  Standing up high on the mountain and seeing the majestic view that inspired her writings was something I will never forget.  And nobody has ever sang it better than the late Ray Charles.

You take the time in a day that we honor a great man MLK and turn the thread meant to honor MLK into your political sewer.

you are a miserable, lonely outcast, don’t drag the rest of us with you on a day like today.

you LTM are a total disgrace to humanity.

Also Quad and Madison, both voted for racist Trump.

The same scumbag that goes around promoting hate in this country now.
So did either one of you, ever read the whole. I have a dream speech??
It's clear you just want to talk about the parts, that make you feel comfortable.

praising King when the rest of his time is spent praising the biggest racist to hold the Oval Office since Woodrow Wilson. So that's about 100 years.

The First Amendment gives protestors the right to burn flags.

If I'm walking my dogs in the Park and notice  a group of protestors burning the American flag I have a  right to take a path that won't put me in Bad Karma proximity of Flag burners.

I feel the same way about NFL players dissing The National Anthem before the game.
Football used to be fun entertainment for me.
I never took it serious enough to feel  sad when my favorite team lost.
I never wore the NFL on my sleeve or  a bumper sticker.

When  NFL payers started using The National Anthem as their punching bag theme , the NFL ceased to be fun for me.

There are numerous opportunities  before, during and after the game for players to solicit support for their protest, without dissing The National Anthem..
Fortunately I wasn't addicted to the NFL so it was easy for me to quit.

I haven't watched an NFL Game on TV this year and I won't waste my time going  to another NFL  football game.

When I watched the NFL { before their Anthem  protests} I believed my favorite player was the toughest guy on the field. Regardless how I feel about his choice of where and when to protest it looks like I was right. From what I've read, He's one of the few still sitting for his convictions, most of the protestors  have backed down.

As far as Kaepernick, he has always been exceptionally over rated, especially so, by his own estimations.

I am wondering how TDS sufferers will take their loss if Patriots win the Super Bowl.  :-D
After all is said and done, the word  Patriot in any form is evil from the TDS perspective.

...Now there is a change, quad began this thread kindly & respectfully recognizing M.L.K. day & some of the posters can't leave his kind thought alone without reminding him who he politically supports. Aaaaand were back, back to the same old shitfighting over points most of us have made millions of  times (ask laffy or GaG for the exact number) but I for one will at least congratulate quad for starting a thread without bragging about his side or insulting the other side. And I even agree with his declaration of his right to avoid the things that repulse him, but I bet he also avoids mirrors.
