Still a reason to see what unfolds after we get through the holiday season.

One reason for the larger-than-expected dip is the difficulty in adjusting the raw data for seasonal modifications around the holidays: On an unadjusted basis, initial claims ACTUALLY CLIMBED by about 64,000 to 280,665

And that the Dem PR machine will get out in front of this and drive the messaging home to the folks. We need to cut a deal with Mancin soon too, to have even more goodies under the tree so we can go into next year on a serious roll.

that are out of work QUIT their jobs because of the vaccine mandates.  You can only make a jobless claim if you were laid off or fired.  You cannot do it if you quit voluntarily.  I thought everyone over 16 knew these rules.  Sorry to put a damper on your splooge-fest.

You said "most people....that are out of work QUIT their jobs because of the vaccine mandates."
PROVE IT.
Or is this just another CDL "stat" he pulled out of his ass?

to business insider's article saying 38,000,000 have quit in 2021 through October.  Over 4 million per month during recent months.  I'm really surprised that you didn't know on your own that this was happening this year.  I guess it's to be expected when you're addicted to the fake news channels.

Once again, people who QUIT their jobs are not eligible for unemployment benefits in most states.  THAT'S why the new claims numbers are so low . . . .  artificially low, but you keep drinking the kool-aid and selling the Leftie bullshit.

I doubt that many are quitting over the mandates and your article doesn't specify that it's because of the mandates.
Most are leaving low-wage industries like food services, retail, service industries and are looking for more flexibility and benefits .But in the grand scheme in the drop in unemployment claims you're right it doesn't include the people who quit. But they were never going to be in the equation of the "Unemployed" so any drop wouldn't have included them. What this drop tell me is that businesses are doing quite well, new businesses are reving up again and aren't crazy closures and people who stay in the workforce are staying.
And so alot of workers are moving to greener pastures, without affecting the unemployment rate....

I couldn't open it but always suspected there was ZERO info in it on WHY people were quitting. So CDL, as usual, just made up a reason.
Isn't that called lying?
What a shock.

How very tactful of the Atlantic to call CDL's claims "myths."

Maybe you should get into the 21st Century & use a different search engine other than AOL.
