Obama’s organization is leaving nothing to chance. As of Monday, flyers are being passed out near Berlin’s Zoo that read “Posters & banners not allowed.” For security reasons visitors should not take purses or backpacks.

Not that I agree with it, I don't. It's a pathetic attempt to **ahem** "whitewash" BHO's image all the more.

But JW, aren't you aware that the Bush people went much further in their stage managing of Bush public appearances?

I'm not going to wave a bunch of links in front of your face, but for example, you will NEVER see the footage of rotten eggs, tomatos and other detritus thrown at the Bush motorcade and even the Presidential limosine itself by irate citizens after the 2000 (s)election. But what you will see are the cheering crowds of mostly white bread supporters. (on the other hand, maybe YouTube has something... but due to suspicious viral and spyware activities I found in the past, I don't surf YouTube on my personal computer).

Stage managing a politicians public appearances is nothing new. It was, in fact, taken to extremes by the Bush administration. We all know its true, whether you choose to acknowledge it is your prerogative.

Not wise to point fingers at a violation when your own team has, is, and continues to do the same thing.

Don't you remember the "Free Speech Zones" set up a mile or more from the route of the Bush motorcades?

It's a real shame we the People are no longer given the real candidates, only the marketed, packaged, spin-doctored alldressedupfortheparty versions.

Another reason why we are so lacking in real leadership today. We need stuff, what we get is fluff.

Obama is setting the bar even lower. He is not even waiting until he is POTUS before he starts dictating to citizens of other countries what they can do in their own country.

Of course the Republicans are guilty of the same shit, but Obama is the one running as the candidate of hope and change and high moral standards and whatever the fuck else he can use as an excuse for complete lack of qualifications.
