Because spreading disinformation is Wanker's entire mission. Wanker is either a Russian bot, a garden-variety troll or just a simple loon. He literally can DO anything but spread disinformation.
This is something I’ve always suspected, but I’ve never seen hard data on. It looks like thanks to Tennessee, we will. The state just passed a law requiring tox screens for all mass shooters and public reports be made if said shooter was on antidepressants or other psychotropic drugs.
From what I know of this, these drugs work as a dissociative, patients who take these drugs can no longer feel any emotions. The idea is that if your emotions cause depression, it’s better not to feel them.
But this is quite foolish, as emotions act as a bio-feedback system to get you to change your behavior.
There are a class of people who, without the use of drugs, feel no emotions. We call these people psychopaths. What separates an average person from a serial killer is the ability to feel remorse, empathy, etc. If you stop feeling those things then you lose the ability to understand that others experience the world just as you do. For a psychopath, killing someone is no different morally speaking than smashing a rock with a hammer. And if drugs are inducing this response in people are mass shooters really just experiencing a sort of “Sudden Onset Psychopathy”?
Thanks to Tennessee we may now soon know the answer.
because you thought convicted felon criminal traitor was your messiah - now you've got 'theories' as to why they happen. Figure it out dude - you're coming off as bi-polar and in need of anti-depressants. Dumb fuck.
He has now over-simplified an extremely complex issue in order to come up with a faulty conclusion.
This is no surprise, as Wanker has a looooong history of doing this with numerous topics.
Actually, virtually every topic.
Wanker is a dumbass.
…mentioned in the article found 3% of patients on SSRIs had an increased rate of committing violent crimes.
http://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7347007/
Increased violence as a drug side effect.

Testing the efficacy of anti-depressants. With a quarter of the population taking these drugs, do they even work?
Hummmmmm 🤔 Tell me icky? When’s the last time you felt something? Oh wait never mind it was this morning when you woke up and once again realized Trump is your president and the (as Elon calls it) Blinding meth fueled rabies kicked in and you starting snarling at your too kind Nurse. Poor girl having to put up with your dumb ass.
Anyway,
Now I’m with Willy on this, I’m thinkin a ton of actual mass shootings (not shooting associated with criminal enterprise) are a result of the mass use of SSRIs.
When did I say "Psychpaths don't feel things?"
That's what's called a rhetorical question, dimwit. I never said that. Maybe Looooser should go back to altering my posts?
I'll tell you what a true psychopath does. He lies about his stolen valor.
Like YOU.
Here's Loooooser IRL....

Face it icky, you really are a shit box of human… the real tragedy is, you actually think you’re great. 🫣
Not only did I correctly point out your stupidity. I also cut too close to the bone with my gif.

There seems to be some genetic component to psychopathy. Some gene that gets triggered on when you experience trauma when you’re young. In my friend’s case he was molested. Most psychopaths aren’t particularly violent. They do things like use a lot of drugs and commit a lot of petty crimes. As they get older they will often age out of it to some degree.
Psychopaths do feel emotions, but they have no empathy. Suppose you see someone stub their toe and scream. You may sort of experience it yourself vicariously, and grit your teeth understanding how painful that is. Psychopaths can’t do this. They have no ability to understand the suffering of other people.
A small percentage of psychopaths end up being extremely violent. Become serial rapists or murderers. Not all psychopaths are serial killers but all serial killers are psychopaths.
There’s some psychological theorists who believe borderline personality disorder is just the female version of psychopathy, but the research on this is quite mixed. There is some interesting overlap, in that psychopathy runs in families, the borderline women will sometimes give birth to psychopath sons. The most famous case is perhaps Edmund Kemper.
Psychopaths are often extremely bright people. Kemper has an IQ of 145 putting him close to Einstein.
SSRIs (or, Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) are NOT prescribed for psychopaths, but for depression, which isn't remotely the same thing.
As the Mayo Clinic describers them:
"Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, also called SSRIs, are the type of antidepressant prescribed most often. They can ease symptoms of moderate to severe depression. They are relatively safe, and they typically cause fewer side effects than other types of antidepressants do."
So no matter what your political leanings, be VERY wary of accepting Wanker's pronouncements on pretty much EVERYTHING, but especially on medical subjects like this.
I said the use of SSRIs *might* induce psychotic behavior. An average person losing their ability to feel emotions through SSRIs could exhibit psychotic behavior. A genuine psychopath is they way they are due to genetic and environmental influences, not drug use, prescription or otherwise.
There is another connection between borderlines and psychopaths, in that both conditions are often treated with antipsychotics. Both conditions can be treated with SSRIs as both conditions often have other mental issues like depression, bipolar disorder or whatnot. Often most mentally illnesses are accompanied by at least one or more other mental illnesses.
You just admitted SSRI's "might" induce psychotic behavior but Mayo says that's NOT one of the side effects.
Wanker should be in a clinic.
But not Mayo.
Which is why this Tennessee law is so important. And no, Mayo did not say this. There’s already been a known correlation between SSRIs and mass shootings. I just described a possible *mechanism* by which this could happen. That SSRIs could *induce* psychopathy by shutting down a person’s emotional processing. This is just my own hypothesis, and it’s not been tested. To say that Mayo said it can’t happen would assume my hypothesis has been tested. It hasn’t.
I accept your surrender.
Feel free to put me on Ignore any time, Wanker.
SSRIs have been around for several decades with no documented evidence to suggest this class of meds shut down a patient's "emotional processing" ( whatever that is ). Actually serotonin is a neurotransmitter that plays a role in mood regulation i.e. feelings of well-being and happiness. SSRI meds slow down the body's natural re-absorption of serotonin resulting in more serum serotonin and feelings of well-being and happiness. Once again Willy is trolling this board with voodoo science. There is no relationship between SSRIs and mass shootings.
But actually, it's more like Doo-Doo Science.
Go, Wanker!!!
Willy, In the immortal words of Hedley Lamar ( Harvey Norman ): "Now go do that voodoo that you do so well."
That line is from the Cole Porter song, "You do Something to Me."
(and it was Harvey Korman, though probably a typo or auto-correct) LOL
No worries. Auto correct strikes again. It was also a Harvey Korman line in the classic 1974 comedy Blazing Saddles by Mel Brooks.
I was just pointing out that wasn't the first time the phrase was used.
SSRIs block the reabsorption of serotonin. Calling it the “happy chemical” is stupid. Serotonin is involved in mood regulation, the sleep cycle, appetite, digestion, pain perception, blood clotting, wound healing, muscle movement, and inflammation. If you take a drug that blocks it’s reabsorption, then you’re going to tinker in unpredictable ways all those things.
Body builders used to take testosterone and steroids to pack on muscle. The side effect is that their testicles stopped working. Many of them got testicular cancer from such drugs.
The human brain has around 90 *billion* neurons. It is extremely foolish to think you can blindly tinker with it’s chemistry and get predictable outcomes every time.
If you’re unaware that our brains have specific regions dedicated to emotional processing…
http://www.neurologylive.com/view/how-brain-processes-emotions
Willy, Now, as usual, you start doing the Willy twist. Your theory, as stated in your original post, is that SSRI meds work as dissociative in that patients who take SSRIs can no longer feel emotions. So then what? They become mass murders? That's absurd and absolute bunk. Your posts on subjects you know nothing about, but advance for political reasons, is breathtaking. Why? All to try to convince others that there's a causal relationship between SSRIs and mass shootings. You are being ridiculous and a despicable troll. Now I remember why this board has no socially redeeming value.
He sings this song and all his ravings become true.
“So then what? They become mass murders? That's absurd and absolute bunk.”
The point is that we don’t know the answer. The research has simply not been done. It ought to be done. It would certainly be more important research than trying to turn mice trans.
Or maybe it's the cholesterol lowering statins that are turning patients into mass murders. That hasn't been studied so we just don't know. Come on man get real. And as you probably already know transgenic is different from transsexual. Willy the online provocateur. Willy the troll.
But it’s hardly a leap to say screwing with a person’s brain chemistry could result in disaster.
Now about those mice….
Statins do not cause dementia anymore than SSRIs cause mass killings. I actually know a right-wing conspiracy theorist who won't take the statins prescribed by his M.D. because he has read online that his brain is 98% cholesterol ( it isn't ) and reducing cholesterol will harm his brain ( it won't ). Prescribing a SSRI, or a statin for that matter, is not "screwing" with brain chemistry.
That would explain a lot.
Yeah and it would be the bad LDL cholesterol too.
One of my physicians told me that he has MAGA patients who don't believe in science. That is until they show up at the ER with chest pain and beg him to use all of his scientific knowledge to save them.
Yep - same shit happened during COVID - remember - dumb filthy maga traitor cunts not wearing masks - exposing themselves in mass exposure events and then going to the ER hoping the doctors would 'save' them.
Fuck filthy maga traitor cunts are so dumb.
What is clear is that there is some evidence statins can cause dementia. This shouldn’t be very surprising. The brain is primarily made up of lipids, and is essential for it’s function.
Furthermore, the benefits of using statins is almost certainly widely overblown and statins are likely widely over-prescribed.
There is no reputable evidence that statins can cause dementia. In fact, elevated LDL cholesterol is a vascular risk factor including in the blood vessels in the brain. High levels of LDL increases the risk of stroke and vascular dementia. Further, the brain-blood-barrier restricts most of the passage of serum cholesterol to the brain. The majority of cholesterol in the brain is synthesized locally by glial cells and, to a lesser extent, by neurons. The brain is made up of neurons, glial cells, white and gray matter, blood vessels, and protective membranes. However, it's correct to recognize that lipids, including cholesterol, are needed for proper nerve function - consequently lipids/cholesterol are present in the brain. Statins are highly effective in reducing total cholesterol and more importantly high levels of LDL cholesterol. Statins are not widely over-prescribed, or their benefits overblown, by any means.
You can usually tell when Big Pharma is lying. They get cagey when you notice one of their cash cows is snake oil.
http://theconversation.com/benefits-of-statins-may-have-been-overstated-new-study-175557
I'm not a fan of big Pharma's greed and how they over price their products, but they do develop and manufacture life-saving medications. Clinicians and scientists not affiliated with the pharmaceutical industry know that these drugs save lives. I'm finished trying to have an intelligent discussion with you. Next thing you know you'll be advocating how ivermectin prevents and cures COVID.
That’s weird. I figured it paid your salary.
Well that would make you wrong again for the umpteenth time. I just happen to believe in medical science. I think the efforts by right-wing extremists like yourself to speciously promulgate their personal distrust for proven medical science is despicable and dangerous. You do you but stop spreading disinformation.
Because spreading disinformation is Wanker's entire mission. Wanker is either a Russian bot, a garden-variety troll or just a simple loon. He literally can DO anything but spread disinformation.
…and there’s people who don’t. And then there’s people who try to improve science. Karl Popper was not a scientist, but a philosopher. He came up with the idea of falsifiability in the mid 1930’s, and it slowly was adopted by scientists. Today it is a bedrock test for all science. The point is that the scientific method is not set in stone. It is continually refined and improved upon even to this day. I have criticized peer review to much derision to those on this board who are essentially just science fanboys, but it’s not like I came up with those ideas myself. I’ve read plenty of scientists who complain about it, speak out about it’s faults, and how it can be improved.
There’s a separate error in that there’s a scientism approach by Democrats, especially as it relates to Big Pharma that says, “those science guys are real smart, I don’t understand what they’re saying so I will put my undying trust in them.”
The flaw in this thinking is that just because someone is more knowledgable on a subject than you are doesn’t mean they’re trustworthy, particularly when they have financial incentive to lie. So long as there is a financial incentive to lie then you should suspect their motives, particularly as it relates to your health.
The replication crisis alone should tell you that there’s something deeply wrong with science. There’s a Nobel Prize for new discoveries, but no prize for those who debunk and prove old ideas wrong.
There’s even scientists who will reject papers from getting published if they’re doing peer review for a journal so they can steal those ideas and keep them secret and use it as insider information so they have a competitive advantage. If they know something that others don’t then they can appear like a more brilliant scientist who’s ahead of the curve when in reality they just have access to insider information.
And then there are the wild conspiracy theorists, like yourself, who create distrust in medical science but spreading disinformation e.g vaccines kill people, COVID can be prevented/cured by a deworming drug, SSRIs might cause users to become mass killers, and statins can cause dementia.
All willy the dumb bitch does is spread mis-information and dis-information. I'm surprised he didn't take the bait on the ivermectin magamoron idiocy. After willy the dumb bitch was BITCH SLAPPED so often every day as I corrected his blatant lies - the cowardly little filthy maga cunt put me on 'ignore' - because the filthy little cunt can't handle the truth. Sad and pathetic, but true.
