Hear from the weasel's mouth.  I have posted about this before and should come as no surprise to anyone!!  The global economy is a oil based economy and therefore necessary to secure as many oil wells as possible!!  
   My favorite line from Wolfie's mouth is "The country swims on a sea of oil."  Can't get more honest than that!!

I have seen this before.  Haveing read the intereview in question I can definitely say the statement is taken out of context.
Also, the US is handing power over to the Iraquis.  Also the US has allowed the Iraquis to nationalize the oil industry.  If we were there for the oil, why would we not keep the industry private.
