Mexico passing Afghanistan in number of innocent civilians  killed.

If Satellite tracking, in conjunction with cruise missile attack, is as accurate as some people believe, why not blast Mexican Drug Lord Compunds ,Escalades, and Hummers??
    I'm NOT suggesting, only ASKING??
Should peaceful Mexican civilians, get the same U.S.Military help, as the Libyan Rebels?
                Why Not?

but if you're going to try to make a parallel with Libya you'll have to show that the Mexican government is engaged in a direct campaign to kill its own citizens.  But the problem in Mexico is the government is proving too weak to deal with heavily-armed drug cartels, which is quite a bit different.  There are a lot of things that can be said to criticise our involvement in Libya, but you are torquing youself waaay out of reality on this one.
To me, a more legitimate series of questions are: what's the end game? how can we say Ghaddafi must go without a mandate from the UN to do that?  what about other regimes in the region with repressive regimes like Syria, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Iran?  And the beat goes on.
I think we went after Ghaddafi because he looked easy to knock off.  We'll see if that proves true.

Technology just has the power to put it into your living room as it's happening, but there is nothing new about governments killing their own people. It's been going on every since there were governments, or people for that matter.

Its certainly a sad state of affairs in the world that when I turn on the news each day I see each region of the world is engaging in a battle of leadership vs. civilians. Its both shocking and appalling and slowly we are becoming immune to the fact that many countries of the world are trying to kill of their own citizens in a battle for power, wealth and resources. Whatever happened to the ideals of "love and peace"..sigh, I guess this is why these are just "ideals".

...when it's coming into TV screens across the world live, it builds political pressure for other governments to step in.  This goes back to Viet Nam, really.
