Once again, we see the bad people being bad and the solution offered by those in government is to punish the innocents.  Just because some dumb ass crooks use a semi automatic weapon to commit crimes doesn't mean it's the gun's fault or the volume of those weapons.  It's the fricken crook's fault.  Consider how many semi automatics are in the hands of the population that never commit a crime.  Why the hell can't society get it through it's head that we have a certain amount of evil and we ought to attack that evil and leave the innocents alone.

Jeeez, for years and years every social problem has been met by punishing innocents and giving the perpetrators somewhat of a pass.  Black schools not graduating enough students, let's bus them to white schools... Oh, still not graduating but now white kids aren't either... let's get more teachers...  Why the hell couldn't we face the fact that some kids just won't do their work and punish them?  Kids using weapons in school... Geee why can't society kick their ass instead of kicking the ass of the innocents...

Sorry, but I'm sick of every society problem resulting in more and more restrictions on innocents.  This is clearly not the America that I learned about in school.  It's practically not even recognizable.

It's guys like you and the Alex Jones that I worry about. It's people like you and him who legislators will point to and say, 'Do you really want someone like him having a gun?' And, they will use you to justify taking our guns away.

The more this happens the more the none gun owners see the faces of gun owners as being as radical as him and Nugent! That's not a good thing for the majority of us gun owners, nor members of the NRA.

If you're a confirmed pacifist or your only gun is a hand-me-down it doesn't hurt so much to think about turning it in. But if you have a collection acquired over decades worth thousands, or a business/livelihood dependent on a RIGHT declared 200+ years ago you're not so eager to make an effete donation to the Feel Good Politics Council of America.

 I'm at essence a "Gear-head", and I've collected a "modest" few examples of classic & modern firearms mostly for the ingenuity and precision of their design and mechanisms. I should no more be made a criminal by expost-facto legislation than should a car collector for owning automobiles without a catalytic converter!

Semi-automatic rifles are not the cause, neither are violent movies or video games. If the government REALLY wants to lower/eradicate these mass murder atrocities committed by disenfranchised loners, social outcasts, or the simply desperate; why not a "Bail Out" that goes directly into the citizens pockets rather than the Banks and the already Rich?

Reimburse me $5,000 for my three “politically incorrect” long guns and we can talk about the "Greater Good"!

We as democracy has failed and we have also failed as civilized society. We are no longer the greatest democracy, no longer a free country and no better than some war torn country. Pick anyone.

All for hunting, skeet shooting, target shooting, whatever but when a society has to have guns to protect themselves, their loved ones and property, we as country has collapsed.
